I am sending this short letter in regards to
those who expressed difficulties with CHRONIC
DIARRHEA after gallbladder removal.
1) Didn't your "doctor" tell you what the gallbladder
is for? What it does? See:
The gallbladder is a small pear-shaped sack located beneath the liver on the right side of the ribcage. It stores bile, which is a yellow fluid you may have thrown up at one time or another. It has a horribly bitter taste. Bile consists of cholesterol, bile salts and waste materials. The bile has two major functions in the body.
Firstly, it BREAKS DOWN THE FATS that you eat and helps the body to metabolize it. If you have trouble digesting fats you will probably have excessive burping that starts shortly after eating a meal that has fat in it. Or you may feel nauseous. Often the bile is thick and you can thin it out with The Beet Recipe or with a whole food beet product. See Products for thinning the bile. Secondly, bile helps to remove toxins from the liver. The liver filters toxins (bacteria, viruses, drugs or other foreign substances the body doesn’t want) and then the bile, which is a very powerful antioxidant, carries them out to the intestines for removal. A healthy liver produces about a quart
of bile daily. If you have gallbladder problems, you would do well to cleanse your liver as well but I suggest you thin the bile first and get it moving; otherwise the liver will be trying to dump into an already congested gallbladder.
Back to me. So when you REMOVE the gallbladder,
you REMOVE the ability of your body to inject
the gall into your food to break down the fats
properly. This causes all the consternation when
you eat fatty foods (such as diarrhea)!! Did your
doctor tell you about this? I bet not...
THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE PROBLEMS EATING FATTY FOODS
AFTER REMOVAL OF YOUR GALLBLADDER!! Those who
eat more fatty foods will have more problems than
those who eat a lower fat diet. Some people will
just plain have more problems than others period--we
are not carbon copies of each other, so one
person without a gallbladder can actually handle
more fats than another similar person.
Now that you know that you need to modify your
diet after gallbladder removal, this might interest

The last thing you should do is to stop eating fats entirely. Not only are fats essential to health but no fat can cause gallbladder problems as well. What you need to do is to eat the right fat (essential fats like omega 3 and omega 6) and stop eating hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated fats and trans fatty acids.

“What can I eat?” you ask. This really depends upon your body and what is going on right now. In other words, what stage of gallbladder disease are you in? Are you in an attack, just out of one, an attack is pending, or do you just feel bloated alot? Have you had your gallbladder removed or a history of gallbladder removals in your family and you just want to avoid it yourself?
If you are in or close to an attack you need to be the most careful. You may need to be on the green soup (recipe included here). Check out "What to eat when I'm in pain" because it could also be labelled, "What to eat to stay out of pain". NO fat at all at this stage. Take Betafood every hour and follow everything you eat with one Betafood. Use Phosfood Liquid to stop pain and nausea. It is especially good for dizziness that may accompany gallbladder symptoms. Meats and high protein foods will probably aggravate your discomfort as will greasy foods and fatty foods such as eggs, mayonnaise, salad dressings, dairy, pastries. It's also a good idea to avoid seasoned foods like spicy. This critical stage is not one you are likely to want to experiment in. Keep it simple.
As you are feeling better fresh vegetables, lightly steamed should be your main stay. There are some foods that bother some people and not others. Only you can be the judge of that. Examples are cabbage, sauerkraut, beans, cucumbers, onions.
For a good diet in general eat lots of fresh vegetables, raw and cooked. Some may have a hard time with raw when they're symptoms are aggravated but beets raw or juiced are helpful at any stage. Use fish, poultry and lean meats. Avoid the fatty meats. Fresh fruit daily but choose the ones that are lower in sugar. Tropical fruits like bananas and mangoes are high in sugar. Whole grains. Why Do I Still Have Gallbladder Symptoms with No Gallbladder?
Removing the gallbladder will get rid of the pain but it will not necessarily get rid of your digestive symptoms. Stones have been known to form in the ducts even year after surgery. This is because the problem begins in the liver which makes the bile. Taking out the storage unit (gallbladder) does not clean up the liver. And if you don't clean up your diet as well you will very likely continue to have difficulty metabolising fats.
After Gallbladder Removal you will want to take bile salts. This will help with the digestion of fats (including your fat-soluble vitamins) as well as constipation and bloating. Bile salts can sometimes aggravate hemorrhoids and varicose veins so I prefer to use a product called Cholacol (see Products) because this has added collinsonia root to help prevent that.

If you have any gallbladder disease and you also have osteoporosis or Arthritis
you may not be ingesting enough good sources of essential fatty acids, but more likely is the fact that you are not metabolizing them properly. In other words, you are not digesting fats well. Essential fatty acids are used for transporting calcium from the blood and depositing it into tissues (i.e. calcium metabolism). But if fat metabolism is a problem, I would suggest you take a water-soluble form of Vitamin F. Click to order. I don't agree with everything, such as the use
of flaxseed oil (see below). But I just point you
to it so you can be aware that the gallbladder
is actually a USEFUL ORGAN and that you should
do ANYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO KEEP YOUR BODY
PARTS, including your gallbladder!!!! It regulates
how much gall to add to your foods, most likely
based on FAT CONTENT!!
Now even some MD-oriented websites will actually
tell you that FAT is a problem when you have
gallbladder problems. See:
LOW FAT DIET
For a regular healthy diet, it is recommended that of the total calories eaten, no more than 30% should come from fat. However, certain diseases and medical conditions can make it difficult for the body to tolerate even that much fat, so a low-fat diet may help people with these conditions.
Gallbladder Disease: Bile secreted from the gallbladder helps the body break down and absorb fats. When Gallstones
or gallbladder diseases are present, a LOW-FAT DIET is often used to prevent complications.
Delayed stomach emptying (Gastroparesis) is a condition in which the stomach empties food into the intestine too slowly. This can cause bloating, nausea, and even vomiting. Normally, fat in foods delays stomach emptying, so fats make gastroparesis worse.
Diarrhea can be caused by many conditions. When it occurs, it can be aggravated by eating FATTY FOODS.

So, NO, I'm NOT crazy and NEITHER are YOU
if you have been having problems for months
and even YEARS after Gallbladder removal!!
You probably need to get on a MUCH LOWER FAT
DIET and also need to CLEAN UP YOUR DIET.
You NEED a LOT of FRESH ORGANIC VEGETABLES/GREENS!
You ALSO NEED to do the LIVER STONE PURGE
as you most likely have STONES built up
in your liver. Taking out the gallbladder
does NOT stop stone formation in the liver!!!!
You simply removed the storage bladder for
gall and stones that were pushed out of the
liver through the bile ducts!!
So DO the LIVER/GALLBLADDER FLUSH even if
you do NOT have a gallbladder! You may
have to do it many times depending upon
how old you are. You most likely have
a liver full of stones waiting to be flushed
I would suggest if you TRULY WANT OPTIMUM
HEALTH, that you slowly change your diet over
to approximately 75% ORGANIC RAW FOODS. You
will hardly believe how much BETTER you will
feel. It is NICE NOT to have INDIGESTION, REALLY
NICE NOT TO have ACID STOMACH, etc. It is just
plain ENJOYABLE NOT to have your digestive
tract feel like it is DYING or KILLING YOU.

I steer away from books that have raw food recipes
that depend on ROCK/SEA SALT, SOYBEAN PRODUCTS, ETC. for
"improving" flavors. If you STOP eating all that
SALT, after a month or so, your taste buds will
become much more sensitive to flavors. you will
start tasting foods that you probably couldn't
even taste before. And SALT will become OFFENSIVE to
you after a while (probably 6--12 months). Again
we don't need Sea Salt
or ROCK SALT. Try drinking
sea water and see how sick it will make you! (Oops,
There is PLENTY of SODIUM in your greens, there
is NO FEAR of a deficiency in SODIUM!! You can

Just type in the food of interest, like SPINACH
and check out the nutritional breakdown!! Really
a GREAT WEBSITE!!
Check amazon.com besides www.rawfood.com for such
books. Try to concentrate on RAW FOOD RECIPE books that
observe what is called "proper food combination". This
is not magic, rather it is just a simpler way
to eat, so that your food is easier to digest.
This becomes MORE important if you are missing
your gallbladder or yours is sick.
I steer away from books that advocate ONLY eating FRUIT.
It does NOT work for humans--we have a limited ability
to handle sugar.
You NEED vegetables of all kinds, fruits,
nuts, & seeds. But the nuts and seeds may have to
be eaten in smaller amounts with enzymes sprinkled
on them if you have had your gallbladder removed.
I LOVE to make FRESH RAW ORGANIC NUT BUTTER. Mostly I use
RAW ORGANIC sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, ALMONDS,
and WALNUTS. The walnuts are the EASIEST to make
nut butter from. NUTS & SEEDS are VERY RICH in
minerals, fats, & proteins. So you don't need much. Maybe
1 to 3 Tablespoons of nut butter. But IT WILL DEPEND
ON YOU! Nuts/seeds digest well with your NON-STARCHY
GREEN salads. NOT FRUIT!! Maybe use the nut butter
as a sort of dressing. WITHOUT ANY ADDED OILS--doing
so will cause gallbladder problems. You will have
to determine how much nut butter you can tolerate.
But mixed into a green salad, it may be quite tolerable
as compared to just eating PURE nut butter. The fat
will be diluted when mixed with your green salad.
Also, I forgot to mention, BEFORE I eat ALMONDS,
I sprout them for 2 or 3 days. I use the same method
as I do with the beans. Except you do NOT cook the almonds,
you EAT THEM RAW!! You won't see any sprouts with
the almonds, but the sprouting process has started
and is well on the way--this gets rid of the chemicals
that almonds have that inhibit digestion of proteins.
In other words, they DIGEST EASIER when you do this.
I would suggest you get an enzyme capsule that contains
LIPASE (a fat-digesting enzyme). Sprinkle LIPASE enzymes
on your nut butter, and all other FATTY foods before
eating them. Gee, why doesn't anybody tell us these
things. Seems pretty logical, huh?
Just My Opinion: This is too logical for doctors--they
ONLY make money if YOU GET SICK or REMAIN SICK. After
all, if just 25% of the population changed their diet
to 75% Raw Organic Whole Foods, the Medical Machinery
in the USA would come crashing down. THEY RUN ON
SICK PEOPLE!!! THEY GO BANKRUPT WITH HEALTHY PEOPLE!!
Don't get me wrong, doctors DO have a use. If you
are in an accident and are all torn up, you NEED
help to put the broken bones back in place, surgery, etc.
THAT is their TRUE USE!! Change your life by
changing your diet, stress levels, toxic chemical
exposure, etc. and YOU JUST WON'T NEED DOCTORS!!
Except for accidents, of course!
Another thing. If you REALLY want to be healthy,
you wouldn't want to eat foods that you are allergic
or sensitive to, right? Well, you NEED to take
some tests to find out what the troublesome foods
are! There are a couple of places that have the most
advanced tests to determine what foods cause consternation
with your body. I will give you a hint. Most of the
PROBLEM foods are foods that you probably LOVE. However,
once you test how your health changes when you simply
QUIT EATING ALL negative foods for 30 days, you will prove
it to yourself that you feel so much better without
those offending foods. Here's the places:
I didn't say much about grains. I have seen too
many PROBLEMS with GRAINS PERIOD. Yes, EVEN with the seeds
Quinoa and Amaranth which people try to substitute
for grains. You simply don't need them. Amaranth
and Quinoa may introduce new problems.
So try to stick with foods that the blood allergy/sensitivity
tests show are OK for your body. That is, foods that
your Immune System doesn't identify as an enemy.
If you absolutely MUST have a grain, try ORGANIC
RYE or perhaps the ancient grain, Kamut. But again,
you NEED to be tested. I have reactions to most grains.
Rye bothers me the least. Also, keep in mind that BREADS
made from GRAINS ground into FINE FLOUR cause your BLOOD Sugar
TO SKYROCKET like you ate SUGAR. That is another problem.
Grains contribute to diabetes just like SUGAR!! So that's
why I say, unless you eat less than 100 Grams (3.5 Ounces)
daily of bread made from finely ground flours, it is just
BEST TO QUIT EATING IT. Try making a bread from
more course flour. Not finely ground. Bread that
you can see whole kernels inside it. The old
world course breads. They have a lower glycemic
index (GI)--don't raise your blood sugar as high.
The more course the flour, the better.
As I recall, the grain that causes the LOWEST
BLOOD SUGAR RISE is WHOLE BARLEY. So you
could try ORGANIC PEARLED BARLEY. Just pour
boiling water into a GLASS thermos bottle at
night just before bedtime. Then pour in a
serving of ORGANIC PEARLED BARLEY, put the
lid on lightly, and go to bed. This will
make a nice breakfast cereal which will taste great
and is NOT overcooked. It is ALREADY COOKED
and is ready to eat in the morning!!
Try it, it will surprise you.
Do NOT put sugar on it.
Maybe try a little ORGANIC CREAM and let it go at that.
Might even experiment with some ORGANIC
SPICES on your whole grain cereal. Throw
the SUGAR out--it is a DRUG and causes more
SICKNESS than anything in your house, except
for other drugs!
To find all the other foods that will cause your
BLOOD SUGAR to SKYROCKET, you need to learn about the
GLYCEMIC INDEX, which rates foods according
to their ability to RAISE YOUR BLOOD SUGAR! See:
Mendosa has a table showing HUNDREDS of foods you can
download. You want to eat mainly from the LOWER
Glycemic Index (GI) foods to keep your blood sugar
under control. You will be VERY surprised about
what foods are the worst! And what ones are
REALLY REALLY LOW!! Many foods are NOT obvious.
Like eating breads made from finely ground flour.
The blood sugar response is like that of eating
foods LOADED with SUGAR!! Yet peanuts is one
of the LOWEST GI foods, hardly raises your blood
sugar! Of all the fruits, the CHERRY is the lowest.
VERY VERY INTERESTING, I recommend Mendosa's Glycemic
Index INFO 100%!!!!
Eating foods mainly with LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX numbers
is one of the EASIEST WAYS to LOSE WEIGHT!
ORGANIC BEANS TO REPLACE GRAIN:
If you can tolerate ORGANIC BEANS, that is a good
replacement for grain. This would be part of your
cooked food (25% or less of your diet).
HOW TO PREPARE BEANS:
1) I first clean the beans by hand, throwing away
any ROTTEN beans or beans with HOLES or FUNNY LOOKING.
2) Then I soak them in WATER for 24 hours with 3-5
TableSpoons of HYDROGEN PEROXIDE added to the water.
The beans seem to like hydrogen peroxide.
3) Then I pour off the water and rinse them.
Let them sprout WITHOUT ANY WATER NOW. I let them SPROUT
for 2 MORE DAYS. If they are viable beans,
they will be sprouting within 24 hours after you
drain the soaking water off them. I RINSE them
TWICE a DAY. And store them in a container on
your kitchen counter (NOT in the refrigerator).
YES, YOU WANT THEM TO SPROUT!
4) Once sprouted, then STEAM them. NO, NOT BOIL
them. STEAM them. And don't over steam. Just
steam until they are done and DON'T COOK THEM
ANY MORE! People COOK their NUTRITION to DEATH
in this country. They should steam within 60
minutes, but keep checking them, sometimes they
are done much sooner.
5) DO NOT EAT the BEAN WATER in the bottom of the
steam pan. It is OVERCOOKED. Just pour it in your
garden. The bacteria will take care of it. What!!?
You don't have a garden!? Well, now, it is time
to start one NOW--ORGANIC!!!
You may find that you do better on BEANS using
this method. And you will tolerate them better
where maybe you didn't before. Sprouting gets
rid of the offending chemicals that beans have.
Garbanzos may be easier to tolerate as they
are lower in fat. Try several types of beans
though and see which ones you tolerate. If it
is a higher fat content bean, just eat less.
Eat them with RAW ORGANIC GREENS sometimes,
they are good.
6) Also, since GAS is often a problem with beans,
you should invest in the LIQUID form of BEANO.
You will find it in your health food store.
It pretty much eliminates the gas problems
from eating beans!! Just follow the instructions,
it really does work!
FLAXSEED OIL ISSUE:
OK, now on to the FLAXSEED OIL ISSUE. You noticed
at the http://gallbladderattack.com/
flaxseed oil. You need to know the following:
I suggest STRONGLY that you do NOT use the
raw flaxseed oil products you see everywhere.
You really do NOT know how RANCID the product
is, even if you found it in the refrigerated
section of your store. I have seen CASES
of RAW FLAXSEED sitting in the ISLES for HOURS
at grocery stores before they were FINALLY placed
into the refrigerated areas. And you don't know
how well they were stored in transit from
the factory to your store.
The BEST way to get RAW FLAXSEED is to purchase
the freshest RAW ORGANIC WHOLE FLAXSEED and
when you want the oil, you place 1 or 2 TBS
of the WHOLE Flaxseed into a small grinder,
like a coffee grinder or similar kitchen
appliance, and make it ON DEMAND ONLY! Grind
it up fine, and either eat it that way or
put it on your cereal, salads, in drinks -- BUT
EAT IT RIGHT AWAY! Flaxseed Oil is NOTORIOUS
for going RANCID QUICKLY. And RANCID FLAXSEED OIL
is VERY TOXIC. Most people really ENJOY the
flavor of FRESHLY GROUND ORGANIC FLAXSEED!!
You will ALSO benefit from eating the WHOLE
FLAXSEED--you will get all the OTHER NUTRITION
contained in flaxseed, which is an ancient
seed--been used for THOUSANDS of YEARS!!!
Please, do NOT BUY pre-ground flaxseed at the
store--IT IS ALREADY GOING RANCID!! You want
the WHOLE SEED, store it in your refrigerator,
and ONLY GRIND IT WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO EAT
IT RIGHT AWAY!! DO NOT STORE the ground seed,
rather EAT IT RIGHT AWAY and TOSS any that you
do not eat!
Lastly, DO NOT COOK YOUR FLAXSEED!!! That
DESTROYS the Essential Fatty Acids!!!!
Make sure you get enough Vitamin C. Your
body can NOT make it. I take 6 Grams a day.
Usually in the form of MINERAL ASCORBATES
like Calcium Ascorbate, Magnesium Ascorbate,
Sodium Ascorbate, etc.
I also take some PURE Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
made by Roche company. If you use the cheaper
brands, many come from overseas and have a HIGHER
HEAVY METAL CONTENT. Roche is more precise in
their methods of producing Ascorbic Acid and
their product is MUCH MUCH LOWER in HEAVY
METALS. SAFER TO USE. Again, you get what
you pay for...
This is a VERY IMPORTANT trace minerals
that most of us are deficient in. It is
used by the body to manufacture one of
the MOST IMPORTANT AntiAging Enzymes of
all!! Said AntiAging Enzyme is:
Now, do NOT get the standard selenium supplements!
Rather, get the new generation of selenium
supplements that are extracted from foods like BROCOLLI.
If you need to know a couple of brands, I can
look them up for you. But you do NOT want
the old selenite or selenate forms or the other
older ones. The new ones are from plants, usually
brocolli or mustard plant that are grown on selenium
rich soil. So they make a form of SELENIUM
that is actually useful to us and it is proving
VERY EFFECTIVE in cancer, such as colon cancer,
and probably most other cancers BESIDES keeping
us younger longer!! Don't ignore your selenium
status!! I have read that 400 to 800 micrograms
per day is very good and NONTOXIC in this new form.
And that REALLY SICK people can take 1,000 or
MORE micrograms daily without toxicity. It
is looking more and more that the toxicity of
selenium was caused by it being in the WRONG
FORM for us!!
REAL FOOD SUPPLEMENTS:
ORGANIC BARLEY GRASS JUICE POWDER
ORGANIC WHEAT GRASS JUICE POWDER
These are probably the 2 best and most effective
REAL FOOD supplement you can buy. There are
so many nutrients in these 2 juice powders that
it is just INCREDIBLE! Read anything by
the scientist named Yoshihide Hagiwara, MD.
He has written at least one booklet, entitled
"Green Barley Essence". Search for his name
on the internet, you will probably find some
good reading material.
You will have to experiment and try different
brands to find the one that works best for
you. I am not crazy about additives
as rice powder, maltodextrin, etc. A little kelp is OK.
If possible, try to find a barley grass JUICE
powder that is mostly barley grass juice and
NOTHING else. You can also find wheat/barley
grass juice FRESH at juice bars. They JUICE the
barley/wheat grass right in front of you . Make
sure it is ORGANIC. Just add 1 ounce to 16 OUNCES
of 50/50 Carrot Juice with Green Juice.
If that is too much to drink, share it with
a friend. If you perservere, you will enjoy
a 16 ounce drink just fine. Keep in mind that
some people, because of their poor health, will
have to limit their juice intake to 4 ounces
one sitting. Maybe drink 4 ounces
three or four
times daily. And some people might even have to add
some clean water to their juice to dilute it.
Give your body time to adjust. Start small with juices,
and work up in quantity. A good target to aim for
(over time) to obtain optimum health is 1 quart
MINIMUM. This would represent about 4 pounds
FRESH WHOLE ORGANIC PRODUCE. Again, start small
and work up.
IMPORTANT: When drinking real food juices,
SLOW DOWN and ENJOY THEM!! Do NOT
drink them like water!!! They are
FOOD and you need to mix your saliva
with each swallow. So just TAKE YOUR
TIME AND ENJOY THEM, TASTE THEM, they
Another thing to watch out for when buying
a ORGANIC barley/grass JUICE powder product is that
it MUST state JUICE powder, not just
barley grass powder. Why? Barley grass powder
is the WHOLE GRASS, it has NOT been juiced,
so you are being short-changed. What you
want is the JUICE of the wheat grass or
barley grass--it is supposed to be dehydrated under
cold temperatures to form a powder. Some
companies will add a little bit of the
fiber back and that is OK. But you do NOT
want just the barley grass or wheat grass
dehydrated and ground up. YOU WANT THE JUICE!!
These days, you NEED a REAL FOOD supplement
like the grass juice powders.
I didn't list a lot of supplements because if
you are eating plentiful amounts of ORGANIC
FOODS, you just won't need all the bottle
and bottles of pills after a while! There
are more good supplements, but try to concentrate
on WHOLE ORGANIC FOODS, RAW WHERE POSSIBLE. They
are a TREASURE HOUSE of nutrients!!
