Do you think 'the surgery they would die without' would have killed them?
See, it can be made confusing, and so we just agree and go along with it.
That is the trouble with your analogy, if I may say so, without any hint of personal attack.
Analogies are commonly used that way, as deceipt, as confusion, and as an "I am smarter than you". So lets stick to non-analogous thoughts for Iraq, okay?
The Iraqis would not have died, no way wou7ld they have suffered this much, under Saddam. And besides, thats not our business anyways, that is a soveriegn country, we cannot and must never again justify invasions of soveriegn nations on the basis of "ITS GOOD FOR THEM". That is pure 100% BULLSHIT.
Canada could say that about America- they would be better off if we took over and helped the little guys from getting beat by the bullies there. And that we have a stake in protecting the environment from the American capitalists. And its true.
So please, Iraq did not need America.
Obviously I could point out that Saddam was put into power by America, that is not even disputed anymore.Like 100 other nations have also got their leaders by American approval and installation.
part TW0 -
I am sure you would prefer to not see the carnage and suffering our goverment has caused over there, and the soldiers bodies dragged thru the streets, that is something we not want to see.
But we have to, it is im-moral to not look upon our carnage. Not our carnage? - "Go USA, but not today because I don't want to see ugly things, like the horrors we caused Iraqis" - Whaaaa? That seems hypocritical.
I feel like I am about to attack you personally buddy. Whoa.
I think you share a certain weakness with most Americans for wanting to see only the positive things, like the oil we will have after the dust settles in Iraq.
Its not right to shelter yourself from the storm you made.
I would shove the daily body counts in our faces if I could, and show the injured who are screaming, that is what would be right.Otherwise, it can go on for years and we will not know what we are doing to them. Details, YES.
Finally,
A long "gaurded" recovery is not the answer. Iraq must be restored to soveriegnty NOW before the American oil business invests their time and money , and gets contracted to sell the iraqi oil. Thats is and was the purpose of this invasion.
Security over there will not be anissue if theUSA soldiers leave - or did you believe the TV again, when it says American soldiers are needed there to keep the peace? HA HaHa - the fighting and attacks are all based on the American presence there.
Don't be so[ooops, almost got personal!]
Karlin.
