I read through all the lists of toxins and carcenogins and there is no way we can all live free of all that stuff. We've be living in a biodome or something. I collect antiques and now worry about the age of the furniture. What are people's suggestion for things like cleaning products, are new mattresses toxic? I just bought one. I don't want to end up like a female Howard Hughes, afraid to touch things or go out in public for fear of contracting something and such, but I am trying to improve my diet and such. Any helpful and realistic suggestions, without having to sell everything I own and going to live in a Bio Dome?

This is a reply to # 49,116I was diagnosed with systemic lupus, an autoimmune disease,Epstein Barr and Raynaud's phenomenon 2 years ago while working as a hair stylist. I worked constantly with bleach, peroxide, and other chemicals. After working for 8 years in this environment I became very ill. I was hospitalized eight times. MoreThis is a reply to # 49,102I live as close to completely toxin free as is possible. At least as far as cleaners, furniture polish, personal products...etc.
I am not saying that there are no chemicals in the products I use, but the chemicals are not toxic.

This is a reply to # 49,102I agree with you. If the public really knew what they were coming in contact with on an everyday basis they might wind up like Howard Hughes wife.
