I can't say about Gallstones but I've had lithotripsy for done for kidney stones and it was a walk in the park. Basically they give you a sedative and then you lay on this X-ray table and there's an open part around the middle where I layed over where my kidney was located. They aim the pulse gun by using X-ray and by that time you start getting pretty drowsy. Once you're in position they crank up the pulser and it feels like a someone is flicking you ligtly with a rubber band. The whole thing lasted 45 mins and I slept right through it and other than being somewhat groggy from the sedative and perhaps a very slight discomfort I was fine.

When I say it was a walk in the park I don't say this to encourage you to do it. Had I known what I know today regarding flushes and cleanses etc that would been my very last resort. I do think though that if you're suffering bad eneogh that the altenative is removal of the gallbladder I would say that this would be the way to go. I would think that after breaking up the stones with the lithotripsy that you would have some really succesful flushes. However I very strongly encourage you to try the natural stone disolving holistic methods first and keep flushing.

I have read several times in this forum that folks have used the Epsom Salts during an attack with great success in stoping or lessening the intensity of the attacks.
