Hey, PKA, you and I are almost on the same schedule. I'm finishing day 11 of the A & S cleanse (mildest phase, like you), and I'm having a few concerns similar to yours, and some different ones, but I can also help with a question or two.
Regarding enemas: I decided to start those on day one, with my cleanse. Never had done one before, I was always very leery. They take some practice it seems. What worked for me--and I really feel I broke through on day 3--was taking them in a hot bath, lying on my right side (that seems important). The warm water softened the tissue around the anus and with enough lubricant (put a little inside even) it made insertion very easy (it was painful for me at first). Also, it relaxed my abdomen and more fluid goes in. I can take about 1.5 quarts
of saline (what do you use? Kittywinters mentioned that adding unrefined Sea Salt
was important, so I do: 2 tsp. per 2 quart
bag. Very expensive stuff, but you don't use much.) and hold it for about 9-10 minutes. I found that once I could get a larger amount of fluid in (more than a cup or 2) I began to clear out and then feel a bit better. Once you get a bit cleared out, try a coffee enema
(which is only a couple of cups, and do it after a saline). It really makes you feel good!
Do you have Dr. Anderson's book 1 "The Cleanse"? I bought it from my chiropractor my third day, and find it very supporting.
I have been having awful cravings off and on. I have a yeast problem, and after a spit test this morning (have you done a spit test for yeast? Check out ...) have determined that it's still going strong. I took a yogurt enema with ThreeLac this morning, cut way back on the little Sugar
I was taking (fruit, maple, honey) and am going to double my probiotic tonight. If it turns out you have yeast, cut down all sugars to as little as you can stand, then plan to address it after you're done, maybe with something like ThreeLac. Are you planning on cleansing the whole month? We could be "cleansing buddies"!
I would interpret the lousy feeling as a good sign: it means you're dislodging negativity, soon to be expelled. Sounds like it's taking you a little longer, but perhaps that's because your enemas haven't been as effective. I've been a little bitchy off and on, but I'm trying to get more rest and be more patient with myself. A cleanse is a process, and it's temporary.
I also have not expelled anything I've identified as mucoid plaque yet, and am going to leave a quick message as to what those who have say it feels like coming out. I've passed A LOT of garbage, and I cannot force myself to poke around the toilet to see if any of it is hard. But I've been on the lookout, and there have been some black bits of stuff (who knows what!), 1-3 inches
long, but I don't know if that's MP or not. I may step up to the gentle phase next week.
I've got to get to bed, I'm already up too late (I get up at 3:30am), but I saw your post and had to tell you that we're cleansing together. Let's support each other in this!
