I don't know if this will help any of you folks,
But my chronic lip biting has stopped and my bottom lips stopped peeling near as much when I corrected my dental problems. This involved getting a toxic root canal
replaced and getting cavitation surgery
, along with heavy metal detoxification.
They still peel occasionally, but only when I chelate heavy metals.
I never really thought about the connection, because I had so many other problems ( CFS, heavy metal poisoning, allergies ). But I definately used to:
1. "chew" on my lower lip.
2. had white "gunk" in my month every morning along with a metallic taste.
3. had chronic peeling lips.
4. had pain and aching in the jaw.
Along with all the other issues, before I removed my metal fillings, did a dental cleanup, and chelated for heavy metals.
Just an idea that some of you may want to look into dental infections or fillings as the cause of the lip problems.
