I don't know if this will help any of you folks,
But my chronic lip biting has stopped and my bottom lips stopped peeling near as much when I corrected my dental problems. This involved getting a toxic
root canal replaced and getting
cavitation surgery , along with heavy metal detoxification.
They still peel occasionally, but only when I chelate heavy metals.
I never really thought about the connection, because I had so many other problems ( CFS, heavy metal poisoning, allergies ). But I definately used to:
1. "chew" on my lower lip.
2. had white "gunk" in my month every morning along with a metallic taste.
3. had chronic peeling lips.
4. had pain and aching in the jaw.
Along with all the other issues, before I removed my metal fillings, did a dental cleanup, and chelated for heavy metals.
Just an idea that some of you may want to look into dental infections or fillings as the cause of the lip problems.
Cheers,
Mike
