Ive had Herpes for about 2 yrs, but only just been diagnosed. As far as I am aware, my husband has not contracted it. We are trying for our 1st baby, can anybody tell me if Herpes can affect your fertility?- Re: Herpes and Fertility mgl

As far as I know herpes does not affect fertility. Herpes virus infects the mucosal surfaces of the body (mostly the mouth and the genitals) and then establish latency in the nervous system. So, semen or vaginal fluids don’t carry herpes virus.
