While technically the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) is not essential, this is not to say that it is NOT beneficial and that it should be encouraged for those especially who do not have over 3 or more bowel movements a day.
I say this based on experience since I did have to acclimate to the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) but did see the beauty in it when at the end of 30 days I was still releasing solids after the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) each morning. I can also share that I already had good bowel function prior to the cleanse but due to a lack of exercise from being in a car wreck, my gut seemed to have accumulated old debris and I do credit the SWF along with the loosening effect of the lemonade and cayenne for my success. Talk about feeling light. Also, since the whole purpose of the cleanse is to flush out as much as possible, it is also just as viable as doing as little as possible to encourage elimination, to do as much as one can to encourage it. So, as much as I disliked running to the toilet endlessly it seemed, I would remind myself that for that month I was in the business of moving the sheet out....I also found that inverting or using a chi or swing machine also helped my body faciliate the SWF and from experimentation it became clear that light exercise or using the chi machine for 20 minutes after drinking the SWF DID make it more productive.
I think I am not alone in saying that while it is okay to champion NOT doing the salt water flush or creative cheating etc., it is just as important to champion using the book and SWF & the experiential anecdotes of others who have fasted before us to give us a roadmap of sorts of what to expect and that includes the lows as well as the highs. It does come down to choices....
IF however, you are looking for an optimum flush, releases of old debris throughout the day works the cleanse and is enhanced by the SWF. I hear so many expressing how yucky it is and gross and other assortment of adjectives used to describe something which for me is more palatable than the lax tea. But I am willing to drink that too if it is going to get me closer to my goal of having the pink colon Somer likes to extol the virtues of and the elimination and digestion to LIVE FOR!
Anyway, even if stuff is "moving"...there can be variables in the amount of movement and archival evidence supports use of the SWF to encourage MORE instead of promoting the mindset..."that'll do"....
be happy, be well,
