i'm reading a lot of people talking about having 1-2 or more movements a day. just what do people consider to be a BM? liquid comes out of me but i am on the 9th day and have had very little solid matter come out. i drink the tea every night, and do the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) about every other morning (alternating with the tea because of my work schedule). i can't tell if i should be expelling more. i'de like to be though...- Re: definition of a BM...? #48313

MoreThis is a reply to # 243,810thanks, but not actually my question. how do you describe a bowel movement while on the MC? does the "butt pee" count? does liquid with a couple of dark somethings count? gross i know, but i'm thrown by people refering to multiple BMs a day, which i do not have. when not cleansing i have regular BM from a high fiber diet.

Google AdvertisementThis is a reply to # 243,805Traditionally, if it comes out of your bum, its a bowel movement. The liquid in circles like this is called "butt pee". I am on day 16 and would attribute my continuing passing of old fecal matter to the SWF. Ive not done the tea in the morning so cannot say how that would go, but I do it at night and it does a good job but the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) really amps up the pressure and flushes out. You might try some gut/belly massage also to loosen your intestines some. OR you may be one of the fortunate who hasnt a big accumulation of old funk??

I occassionally see a solid piece or two but calling it solid is a bit much. I was concerned about this too since people always say and the book talks about a couple of BMs a day. My BMs are more like peeing from the bowels at this point. I ate pretty clean before I started this fast so maybe I did not have a lot to clean out.
I don't know.
BTW I am finishing day four - down 11 pounds - but today was rough - I feel so hungry and lethargic - I really want to get my but to the gym but I am talking myself out of it - may be the weather here in the northeast.

i have read about "ropes" --is this common?
i have had very little in the way of anything other than the "butt pee" and i am on my 9th day. i get spotting of gooey rabbit like substance occasionally...- Re: definition of a BM...? page

Well, not that I am an expert, but my bm is colored but nothing solid, Sometimes there is foam. This is my 3rd Master-Cleanse this year (16, 20, and now 11 days and counting), and I've never really had anything solid come out after the 1st day. Previous to Master-Cleanse I had regular BM's. But I'm 50 and have not eaten well until this year. so I would think there is some residue from before sticking around somewhere. But I don't know when or if it will come out. I am very overweight (100 #) and so I have a long road ahead of me.
Cravin, I guess I would just believe what is normal is what is happening. As long as there is butte pee or full solid, be happy things are flowing thru.- Re: definition of a BM...? cravin

I will start that today!

Are you doing The Master Cleanse in order to acheive your weight loss? I am not judging just asking because I lost 120 lbs this past year and I am now working on the last 30 - 50 through fasting. If you need any help or encouragement please be in touch because I know how tough it can be to have to lose that amount of weight. It will happen though and stick with it. How much did you lose on previous fast?
