IVM was developed by Merck over 30 yrs ago, already won one Nobel, has been used in millions of people with excellent safety record. The only reason I can think of that it is not widely available is that an effective treatment would threaten the Emergency Use Authorization for the US NIH's vaccine--Moderna.
