Need direction here! I am having a parasitic infestation. This time it started with anal worms in November, and also nasal worms. My doctor said they were hook worms (dxd from appearance.) In mid-December, I developed skin involvement; tiny filaments that would bite my skin. Sometimes they would come in pairs, sometimes cream colored, but usually black. I then developed larva migrans or currens, and also worms into my feet. (Incidentally about 18 years ago, I also had the filaments bite me and developed larva migrans, but not the anal or nasal worms at that time.) In December, my doctor gave me 2 doses albenza, then I had 3 more rounds in Jan., then 2 doses Ivermectin in March.
My problem now is that I still have something biting or stinging me. I can't see anything, but nitely it happens, sometimes making red specks on my body. It happens bodywide, from head to feet. My dog has tested positive for demodex and I have been following the suggestions here to tx that, but I am beginning to wonder if I may have strongyloides or something of this nature, as I am not getting much resolve following the demodex treatment suggestions. My question is: Do any of the hookworm type infestations manifest externally by biting? Maybe I should be following a different regimen other than demodex? The only place I get crawly feeling is in eyebrow/eyelid area, otherwise it is flat out biting or stinging sensations.
I need to add that I also have had anal burning all this time since early November (almost 5 months ago.)
