Infertility means the condition of not being able to become a mother under certain parameters infertility is a common problem of women. It is mostly found in women of age 15-44 years.

In semen analysis, following points are noted
· Sperms count:
In fresh piece of semen’s sample the total number of sperms is checked and this tells us about the potency of the man 40 million to 300 million is the normal range for the number of sperm per milliliter.
· Sperms motility :
Fertility is all about the motile sperms in the fresh sample of semen. As the motile sperms have to travel a distance to fertilize the egg in the uterus. Hence, motility is noted of sperms.
· Sperms morphology:
A normal sperm has a specific morphology. Hence, the morphology of the sperms is noted.
· Semen volume :
Sperms volume is noted because volume of semen is noted for the evaluation of infertility. The average volume of semen produced at ejaculation is 2 to 5 ml.
