2 YEARS AND YOU STILL HAVE PROBLEMS - DO THE MATH.
all started actually in October 2012...as i went plantbased (whole foods) ... first few months even gluten free....
After only 5-6 months i started to have cycle related boob pain. Also my TSH started to rise... but i didnt pay attention yet. since our labs ranges are from 0, something to 4,5 or something ike that. At this time my TSH was 2. something.... didnt worry....
Kept on having my TSH checked and kept on having boob pain 5-10 days before my period. At some point it was so bad that my boobs were 1 cup bigger before period. :(

So i did a lot of research. And figured i could only be
Iodine deficient. Since iw as avoiding salt as well (and if used...it was not iodized) and i wasnt consuming any seaweed etc.
WRONG. TOTALLY INSANE LOGIC. VICTIM OF TRAPPER'S CRAZY CULT.
Plantbased diets are known to make women excrete 2-3 x more estrogen (due to fiber content of the diet i believe and it absorbing the "back flow" OF ESTROGENS from the liver ??? intot he intestines...) something like that...
I QUESTION THIS. PLANT BASED DIETS ARE ALSO EXTREMELY HIGH IN COPPER. MANY PLANT FOODS ARE DIRECTLY ESTROGENIC - READ RAY PEAT'S ARTICLES ON THE SUBJECT.
So i was pretty sure it cant be estrogen dominance (what usually causes pre menstrual boob pain)....
IT COULD BE. PMS-RELATED ISSUES ARE MUCH MORE COMPLICATED THAN JUST ESTROGEN OR
Iodine OR PLANT-BASED DIETS. YOUR RESEARCH IS SORELY LACKING. LIVER HEALTH IS PROBABLY THE MOST LIKELY CULPRIT IN PMS, AND THEN YOUR ENTIRE IMMUNE SYSTEM IS AT PLAY NOT JUST ONE HORMONE.
I started iodine end of 2013... my TSH being 3,6.... i was scared of high dosages as most who havent done hours of reading informations.... so i started with 12,5 mg first... all co supplements....
my boob pain only ever went away after taking 100mg for 1-2 months...which i (if i remember right) did in april or may 2014 ... as my boob pain was as its worst actually.... then i was pain free for a few months....
and euphoric.... which made me lower my dosage to 12,5 mg in summer 2014 .... since i thought ... " boob pain gone... iodine storages filled... time to lower dosage"...
also my TSH at this time was about 1,9 !!!! yay... btw my TSH never rose after starting iodine. Instead it gradually decreased from blood check to blood check.
TSH NUMBERS, AS THE IODINE CULT IS AWARE, IS NOT SO MEANINGFUL, AND DOUBLY SO WHILE YOU ARE DETOXING.
unfortunately my boob pain came back in September or something.... being on 12,5 mg...

so yea... i upped my dosage again... from there on i used
Lugols Solution from J crows. Before that i was using Iodoral (so pricy )....
LUGOL'S IS THE BEST IMO, IODORAL IS NOT GOOD.
Some time this year i purchased
Iodide crystals and made my own solution with that.
YOU NEED BOTH
Iodide AND ELEMENTAL. SOME PEOPLE NEED MORE OF ONE OR THE OTHER.
And then my problems started.
I dunno if it was the
Iodide itself not working for me (needing the iodine ????) or the crystals itself being weird... (though being approved my trapper here)... or dunno what else...
i might ve also taken less vitamin C at this point and less b2 / b3. No idea if that was the problem.

I didnt have my TSH checked the last 5 months. But i m sure it went up agaain as well.
BODY TEMP IS THE EASIEST WAY TO GAUGE THYROID. CHEAPO ORAL THERMOMETER TURNED OFF, PLACE UNDER TONGUE FOR 1 MINUTE, THEN TURN IT ON WHILE IT' IN YOUR MOUTH (THE SENSING ALGORITHMS ARE OFTEN INCORRECT - THIS IS WHY YOU DO IT THIS WAY)

since 1-2 weeks i take iodoral again. But only 12,5 mg.
On top of that i take norwayan KELP powder. (since 3 weekrs or so ) Worth 4-5 mg iodine daily.
and BOOM i have a huge pimple on my chin. I swear i didnt have that since MONTHS.....

it might be just a coincidence... BUT well who knows.
Now some ppl on the support Forum said it might be that case that ijust need 100mg and not less to overpower other hallides .... and that i shouldnt worry coz excess iodine will just be peed out anyways.

but some sources say one only needs 12,5 mg one sufficiency reached (btw i did a loading test which came out 96% excretion).
other sources say japanes ppl actually only consume 1-3 mg per day and not 12,5 mg ...

EAT NORMAL FOOD FOR A MONTH AND YOUR PAIN WILL GO AWAY MOST LIKELY. BE A NORMAL PERSON. GO TO THE SUPERMARKET AND EAT WHAT LOOKS GOOD. GO OUT TO SOME RESTAURANTS. HAVE A BEER. GO TO OKTOBERFEST AND HAVE A GOOD TIME.

one sources said... iodine depleted breast tissue reacts far worse on estrogen (even if estrogen levels r low) and that causes breastpain.
DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU ARE IODINE DEPLETED AFTER 2 YEARS OF HIGH DOSING?
I wonder though how fast breast tissue can become iodine deficient again after being on 100mg for over a year.

I also did an hormonal test in 2014 and it turned out low in estradiol and on the higher side of the range for progesterone. Usually cycle related boob pain comes along with elevated estrogen levels.
