How do you know if your liver is bad? Is there a specific test? I am not a doctor, but I have taken milk thistle with antiparasitic medicines. I would think it should be fine. I hope your treatment goes well! Do you know which parasites you have?

I think milk thistle is ok, maybe try taking it as far apart in the day from albenza as you can.

You have a bad liver? like liver is damaged? your doctor is regularly checking your blood and liver enzymes yes? especially while you are on meds like this it would seem the smart thing to do.

ICU did say not to take herbs during a round of meds. Not sure she meant milk thistle as well.


I took milk thistle during a round of albenza/prazi because I have liver issues bought on by parasite hyperinfection.

Taking liver support supplements and herbs is good before and after a round of meds.
