It's possible, but I doubt that mites have anything more than a casual/secondary involvement. My exterminator, Nurse Practitioner, and Dermatologist don't think I'm kooky, but they see no mites. The CEHF, Mayo Clinic, CDC, and Carnicom Institute all use powerful microscopy, and don't report mites.

I can't see a connection between mites and: fruiting bodies, dot patterns, colored fibers, brown "sticks", and clear/yellow/black goo.

That said, there are Youtube videos that clearly show mites and/or rotifers creeping around Morgellons artifacts. So there likely is some involvement for certain sufferers.

ive feared mites at some point also. But im quite sure its not the case. Mites would not be so specificly be only causing problems for a select group of people and would much more likely affect others in your direct surroundings. But morgellons doesnt seem to be reported as being contagious by its sufferers because people around us do not seem to become sick as well.
You should never automaticly assume a site like birdmites.org as thrustworthy and truthfull. Its easy to forget at times and that goes double for sites like birdmites.org. The site is so well written with seemngly strong arguements and gives an impression that the athor knows what hes talking about. On top of that its no doubt genuinly written with good intentions in the hope hell finds more help while offering help to people that have similar problems as himself.
But before i consider if his theories are plausible to start with it does not give me much confidence to trust in someone on a subject where he is still struggling with himself. That should give an indication on how much he truly knows on the subject before i also start to lay my responsibility down as result of not being able to get better and instead of continue to fight in some other manner come to an conclusion that just makes the birthmites more powerfull and less likely to `fight off to begin with

More important even ,in my own case there eventualy was not really a direct relation possible between my problems and certain other outside controlled factors that made me realise that certain explanaitaions are just not possible or a least bit likely to be the case. I know mites fall in that category. Youll just be adding a ton of stress and worry to your daily routine in the end. It would save you a great deal of shit if you take my word on that.
But im seriously debating if i would have listened to any advice either back when i was dealing with the same kind of stuff
