I have to admit this sounds quite interesting so thank you for posting. I want to find out more about this. If you are going to grow all your food it would be good to have more than one food system.

However, Health Ranger is wrong in saying all hydroponic systems need pumps & power.
A person can have a hydroponic growing system without pumps or power source. I did this for a while. If push comes to shove it can be done. It just take more time an effort. I know because I have done it & actually grown a number of different veggies and I am new at this.....E
