Hey Incharge, I didn't see this in the Politics Forum , but this whole video is very much part of what the bible says is going to happen.
I did see your post about our coming water shortage. I agree that it is happening everywhere. Some of the fastest growing cities around us have signs out now telling it's residents to curb their water usage, all the time...not just during the hot summer. The sad thing is, the cities are not curbing their over-growth.
I can tell you why that is from my own personal example. The little town where I have lived for many years has changed as people from other areas moved in and built new homes. With their desire of a small town life, which by the way, they haven't a clue as to what it takes to have a wonderful small town....they also bring with them their big town ideas of the need of comfort and instant gratification.
When our sensible city council at the time knew we needed a better source of water first and foremost before anything else could be built...the newest residents refused to do without better streets. They were not the least bit concerned about being without water, even though they were told that it was very important and that we would need to sacrifice for a while in order to get the new well going....and paid for. We are one of those few towns who's budget stays in the black.
As soon as some of those newer, city folks decided they were too impatient to wait for what they wanted...they started their campaign and ran for office themselves. They basically ran an Obama type of campaign stating "change" was needed to get the "old" out and something "new" in.
Well...something "new" did get started. During their term of office was the worst our town has ever seen it run. Their new ideas did not work well...even though they finally got their new streets. They were planning on huge projects that didn't fit our town. Everything they did caused us for the first time to be in the "red". There was also much corruption and big town, "I'll scratch your back, if you scratch mine" sort of things going on. We were all shocked to see this happen so easily to us.
After all of that, the majority of the citizens realized "change" is not all that it's cracked up to be at times. They gladly went back to the "old" way that worked every time.
People's mindsets have to change. We can blame it on the higher up's all we want...but it really starts with us. Do we want new homes/streets or do we want the necessities of life? Do we want drugs that make us think we are getting healthy quickly or do we want real long term health?
On another note. I also consider Jesus to be a necessity of this life and of the everlasting life. Thanks for sharing this video. :)
