No I live in a standalone that is adjacent to the garbage so I have not gotten any complaints, besides some of my neighbors can barely speak english.

If you are having a problem I recommend an oil warmer, just burn some fragrant oils for an hour a day and it should ward off smells for like a a day or two. You can buy one at walmart for like five dollars as well as the oils but i buy the oils online since they are thicker and more potent and yummy fragrance.
