Is betadine painted a cure for jock itch?
How does it compare to SSKI ?
Will these things cure it, or will it just make it better as long as I use it daily?

This is a reply to # 2,211,171Isn't borax grainy? Won't it scratch up the whole area? Right now with fungal infection, my skin is EXTREMELY flaky with red bumps. If I wash it with borax, it would have to be dissolved in water, but isn't water on my skin the thing I HAVE to avoid because the fungus loves water?

Hulda Clark Cleanses
Wormwood, Clove, Clarkia, Turmeric, Epsom Salt, Uva Ursi, Goldenrod
Topical solution for fungal infection; borax in warm water (until crystals are gone) mixed with iodine/lugols and a few drops of essential oils. Usually works over night, maybe 2-3 days.
It will be gone for a month or two, then probably come back. To cure it, some internal adjustments, diet change, supplements will be needed.
Borax crystals are soft, they will not scratch your skin. Water will not make it worse, as the groin area has some moisture anyway. Borax are somewhat drying, you do not have to rinse the solution off, just leave it there.
Quick fix, use baking soda in water or aloe vera juice / gel first. Then after a couple of hours, use the borax solution as mentioned. Finished off with some vinegar / Iodine drops the next day, no way any fungus survive.

This is a reply to # 2,211,233Thank you guys! I mixed some 20 Mule borax with Dr. Bronners tea tree liquid soap and washed the while area and it is a whole lot better. What has really helped me is betadine iodine that I picked up from kroger. I also got some generic petroleum jelly 100% (vaseline) which I apply on top of betadine. My symptoms are 60% better in just 2 days. I might also try some otc cream as well. Too scared to try undiluted vinegar or rubbing alcohol or mouthwash lol!

This is a reply to # 2,211,514Good, but the borax need some time to work, at least 20-30 minutes, but as I said; mixed with water / essential oils you dont need to rinse it off. Hey, I even ingest that stuff:)
Petroleum jelly; yikes! Clogges pores and do nothing good for the skin in the long run. Better option would be coconut oil, if you need any oil on top of the betadine.
Vinegar / ACV can be replaced with a little citric acid in water. Reason why this is a good finishing procedure;
fungus can survive alkaline and acid environment, but it cant take both.
Borax is very alkaline, so are bicarbonate of soda. It kills the fungus within hours. But, after a while the fungus may blossom again, as it is among the most adaptive species on earth.. The acidic solution restore the slightly acidic skin ph. It will not burn at all as soon as the fungus is gone, rather it will feel refreshing.
The betadine is good as it prevents a bacterial growth that may follow a too alkaline skin ph.
So are the essential oils; ph around 4, skin approx ph 5.

that it clogs the pores is the solution for suffocating demodex mites living in the pores
if you have no demodex on the skin, it won't cause white heads, just makes skin supple
puts a layer of protection to keep the mites off
it protects from skin parasites and cures if you already have them
i love love love petroleum jelly
in my 60th rotation around the sun many people are asking me what i use on my face
when i tell them petroleum jelly twice daily they are shocked
it works better than christian dior and costs a lot less
if i had started using it before i turned 50 i would look a lot younger
it took years off my face even though i started using it very late
i put it on top of anti-oxidant rich lotion with a couple of drops of Iodine in it, to seal it in
