I am infected with a few things. It started with pinworms and that treatment seemed to have stirred up everything else. I'm passing very large roundworms that are thought to be Ascaris (see my "i pooped out a snake" post in the parasite forum.) and a Tapeworm that i took to the er the other night and the doctor prescribed me 1 - 600mg of Biltricide.
My stool samples are pending results so i dont know what I have but anyway... how do I make this Biltricide most effective?
Take the whole 600mg dose at once?
Break it up into 4 pieces and give myself a 150mg dose for 4 days?
I think the one day dosing is inefgective but I want whatever will bring the best results.

This is a reply to # 2,190,841You have to calculate it by your weight. For instance I'm 110 pounds or so and I took 3 600 mgs of it 3 times daily.

Im about the same. ive been 112 for the last 20 years - minus 4 times being pregnant... now im down to 108 since last week because i cut out my 4 a day full cream and extra Sugar lattes. Holy smokes and you got 3 of them to take 3 times a day.. I only got ONE 600mg pill! omg I'm so screwed if this test doesn't show something. I ended up taking the whole thing... about a half hour in my stomache felt a little off for about a minute, but other than that, I disnt get sick... no die off symptoms. This is a reply to # 2,190,953did the biltricide seem like it inflamed the inside of your nose? it felt like i was going to get a bloody nose for the day i took it and day after.
my stomach was really sore and queasy yesterday so i hope it did something. i really hope they have my lab results tomorrow.

What's the sense of even prescribing it? That's like writing for 1 amoxicillian for an ear infection instead of a 10 day course. Ughhhh

This is a reply to # 2,190,935Yeah, that's exactly right! I believe prazi biltricide is more for tapeworms. If you don't have tape but rather roundworms it most likely won't do anything anyway.

This is a reply to # 2,190,954The specimen i took to the er was a tapeworm... or i should say... when the doctor looked, he only noticed the Tapeworm and prescribed for that. They wont give me anything else til my labs come back.. ugh. Iade an appt for monday dor er follow up. Im gonna bring up the red mucous and blood. If they don't do anything, I'm gonna go apeshit. I wojld like a colonoscopy to assess the damage. Its painful now.. like annoying pain, #3 or 4 on the scale. Seems like they are doing more harm when you kill them off than when you dont know they are there and leave them go.Advertisement

The old saying, "Let sleeping dogs lie," comes to mind.
If people who go after parasites that are not causing problems, just because they think that it is a good, healthy thing to do, knew about causing the devils to disseminate, hyper-infect, and that the chances of being rid of them for good is very slim to often enough none, they wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.
Once in a disseminated, hyper-infection stage it's a whole new ball game.
A really cruddy one.
I inadvertently poked them with a stick.
