ok Nancy Drew, girl detective. This is not the first time that this has come up and I highly doubt that it will be the last. Holy crap. How far I've come in 8 years. Thank God I was willing to put up with some skin eruptions(no, it's not acne) to heal my fibrocystic breast disease. Love you Jenifer. You have a very fine mind :)

And, there's more. We battled moreless endlessly. And barefoot. and all manner of trolls over the years. Just ask. I've never deleted my posts and I never will. It's a journey:)

"Iodine toxicity can result from an intake of 2.0 mg of iodide per day. The toxicity results in impairment of the creation of thyroid hormone, resulting in lower levels of thyroid hormone in the bloodstream. The thyroid gland enlarges, as a consequence, and goiter is produced. This enlargement is also called hyperthyroidism. Goiter is usually caused by iodine deficiency. In addition to goiter, iodine toxicity produces ulcers on the skin. This condition has been called "kelp acne," because of its association with eating kelp, an ocean plant, which contains high levels of iodine. Iodine toxicity occurs in Japan, where large amounts of seaweed are consumed."

If you're acne-prone, I would try cutting down on the kelp. :)

I've read through your past posts and I see that this connection has not been made. I would strongly suggest greatly reducing the amount of kelp you're using. Also, table salt contains iodine...so eliminate that as well. Also, look up Anne Marie Colbin, "Food and Healing".
