I have really been trying not to comment much on here, seems that everyone is so stuck on the rope worm thing. I realize my response got long...but I am hoping you were looking to throw thoughts and ideas out, so that is what I did below.
I have no clue what these things are, but can tell you why I believe them to be either mutant ascaris, or the insides of ascaris. I can only base it on my own experience, but I have a pretty compelling experience.
I will give my main reason.....and that is when I first got sick, with sudden onset of symptoms, I expelled pure/snowy white long skinny things. They had no ropey mucous around them, and although only some had distinct pointy tails, most were like noodles, straight or frayed at both or either ends. The first appearance of worms were in a bundle, kinda dry in a coocoon, and there was no mucus, frayed skins, just clean noodles. They were not connected, but separate. I believe I actually caught my infection before they were fully matured, or had time to get embedded in the colon and intestines.
Most all my prizes have been like your pic, third from left since 2010, but in the very beginning they were snowy white, and I could see the perfect clear cuticle around them. I will admit, they didn't exactly look like ascaris, but they were far from ropey.
If you google Ascaris
dissection....those intestines look pretty long and skinny to me, but fatter in places. I bet sitting in digestive juices, while a person is constipated for days and weeks, would make the specimens bloat up and pick up feces along the way. On the rare occasion I have gotten out what looks like perfect skin or off white ropey things, in water they all seem to break apart like roundworm intestines. Similar to what you describe. They do dry extremely quick on a plate.
The only exception is when I took psyllium fiber, then they would come out bloated looking, but still I could see the long skinny thing down the middle or intertwined with it. I am also very scientific when I take psyllium, I watch for the exact amount I took to come out, as I don't want it blocking me. On the couple of occasions that it didn't fully exit on time, later I would get ropey sun-dried things, and still, I knew it was the psyllium I had been waiting on. They would honestly be like stale gummy worms, longer of course, but hard and dry. It would almost appear that they ate it and it swelled within them. Others claim not to have taken psyllium, but yet have passed things identical to mine, so I have to admit that one stumps me! I would never doubt most people here, trusting that they are intelligent like me, and try to figure this stuff out.
As far as candida. I can only say that in my case, I don't think it's possible, at least those long skinny ones of yours that look like mine. Here is why....I have never ever had a yeast issue, most girls would have candida/yeast vaginally if they also have it throughout the gut I assume, but I am open to being incorrect on that one. Never having the issue that I know of, I admit my only knowledge is what I picked up on CZ last few years.
My diet since the age of 20 was extremely low sugar, good carbs, and over the last 20 yrs, I maybe took Antibiotics
2x, never finishing the bottle once the sore throat went away (bad I know now). I do know that candida and parasites
kinda go together, but I never saw "colony" looking candida strings. I have had some thick filmy pieces, but not much. I always assumed that was biofilm, or nesting material. My health history prior to finding my infection really does not indicate a candida infection.
Now...all that being said. I have so much respect for all of you, Alex Volinsky, the CD groups, and I understand that my opinion, is just that, my opinion. I tried to explain exactly why I feel this way. From what I have read here and other places, I do think that my experience of seeing fresh snowy white (not off white) but so white they look like coffee stir sticks, is a very rare experience, but one that I think helps in the puzzle that everyone is dealing with. I know they were actual worms.
When they are gone, OMG I am so heathly, I know they were stealing my nutrients and minerals. I don't think a body response like MALT or lymph would do that, although if the intestines are producing tons of mucous to protect against parasites, then I do think it would hinder asorption. Also, being so white, makes me think they could not have been lymph strings of mucous, or the MALT that is discussed. Today however, when I do get something, they look more like they have been at home for years, stained by the body fluids and my colon.
For the reasons I stated above, when I see pics of worms that look just like I might see today, and immediately people say that it is "stage -- of the rope worm", I just know it's not.
I do not know what those big long thick things are though, some of the pictures I see totally blow my mind. The 4' specimens from the kids are freightening. There is no argument that when they are gone or reduced, people recover many symptoms. If the term "rope worm" is kinda being accepted in general, then ok I see lots of rope worm pics. And if it is a mucous response of the body that encapsulates parasites, that might make sense too, especially since many of them look like they have long stringy things throughout them, or they started off that way, picking up bloat and feces along the way out.
But then that opens another question, why would antihelminth medicine and anti parasite
herbs work on them? Eucalyptus is supposed to have action on mucous, something I have never heard anyone discuss before.
Please....I am just hoping to add to thoughts here. I also am very aware that someday I might be proven to be very wrong. I hope so, that means we will have an answer. It's very possible, that I may be one of the very rare who does not have the rope worms, and just some skinny zoological parasite
that kinda morphed as it was passed to humans. It would explain why mebendazole and albendazole, and pyrantel has absolutely no effect on me what so ever. I always wondered if it's possible I caught mine from a domesticated animal, who had been dewormed in the past, so my offspring are immune???
So many questions, I could talk and ponder for hours. The subject also robbed me of a few quality years of my life, so I will never be bored talking about it, and even though I am better today, I will never lose interest in studying until all the answers are found :)
Glad you are getting some relief. It does suck that so much of your life has been spent looking for answers. Never stop what is working for you! I tried so many other things myself, always returning to what helped me, raw garlic.
