hi epicstrawberries, don't despair, i have this too and so do a lot of people apparently. you are not alone. it's good you found this website. I have changed my diet quite a lot, i mean almost completely. if you look at the tmau website and mebo website, mebo is metabolic disorders, you will find a diet of what not to eat because a lot of foods don't get broken down or metabolized in the liver. the liver breaks down food. enzymes in the liver break down food and some people have enzymes that don't work or are missing these enzymes. so what doesn't come out in pee and poop, comes out in our breath or pores. there is a lot of research on this now. you go to your doctor and tell her/him that you want to be tested by a specialist. your doctor should refer you to a metabolic geneticist. your city hospital(s) will have them. I'm waiting for my appointment. so please avoid foods with CHOLINE. these are eggs, fish, red meat. all very high with choline. also nuts, broccoli, fried foods. there is a list of foods on the websites i mentioned above. the new diet is helping me. go to a health food store and buy activated charcoal and chlorophyll. these should help you. also buy probiotics. none of these are very expensive. take a few a day or more if needed. by breakfast food at health food store, and cookies or snacks, it will help you. please let me know how you are doing! bye for now,
