My hair is falling out in clumps, I believe it to be from stress. There is nobody in my family that is bald or that has receding hairlines (even 90 year old grandparents). I have been stressed for the past year and have tried to stop stressing about things. As of late I am not as stressed but my hair is still falling out.
It has been falling out for 6 months now mainly on the frontal region. How do I get this to grow back fast? Also I think the stress has caused dermatitis as well, which I am sure is not helping.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Have sufficient sleep at night atleast 7 hrs every day.I am applying an oil (mixing almond,coconut and til oils)warming it

This is a reply to # 2,058,429Stress is one common cause of hair loss, we cannot deny that, though we can say hair loss is quite natural but too much hair loss that lead to balding is not good especially for women. We need to have always a good rest, have a healthy Diet and don't immediately use certain hair product.

This is a reply to # 2,057,840I've read a couple of your posts. Thanks for sharing your journey as you try to resolve this difficult and frustrating condition.
I've got the same as you. SD of the scalp causing itching and hair loss all over the scalp but mostly at the front. Also I can see some faint lesions on my scalp. It has recently spread to my eyebrows after being exclusively on my scalp for about 5 years.
Ketoconazole, Terbinafine, Coconut oil, AVC, Tea Tree oil etc have all failed to work. Ketoconazole reduces the symptoms slightly but does not cure it.
I've got a couple of questions for you:
1. You went on a 10 day water fast? Did that reduce your itching and hair loss in any way?
I'm thinking if it was candida then surely a 10 day Water Fast should kill it off shouldn't it? Can anyone else familiar with treating candida confirm this?
2. Do you still think Mercury is the cause of your problem?
3. If you think it's mercury, is the mercury directly responsible for the hair loss or via candida, and if so can the candida be killed off even if mercury levels are still high?
I'm thinking surely not everyone with high mercury levels gets candida. Most of us on the planet have Amalgam fillings.
In my case I have cut out Sugar and all carbs for one week and the itching has certainly reduced dramatically but the SD on my eyebrows and the lesions on my scalp are still there and I’m still getting some itching.
Maybe others who have managed to resolve this condition can chip in as well.

I am almost a 100% sure that my Seb Dermatitis is from Mercury. I have never had hair loss, seb dermatitis or eczema before. There is one thing that happened to me that caused it all.
I had Amalgams in my mouth and tried to chelate, while chelating I had full body eczema and hair loss from seb dermatitis.
I now have my eczema under control or almost. I have a little eczema on my tricep are on both arms. I also have hair loss on the whole head but mainly the frontal region.
The Water Fast has done nothing and nothing I have tried has done anything. The only thing that has helped has been coal tar shampoo from neutrogena and borax in my hair in place of shampoo.
I have ordered some Bentonite clay and play to do face masks and submerge my scalp in water and Bentonite clay. I am hoping this is my saving grace. From what I hear Bentonite clay removes toxins from the skin.
Heres what I believe I have, I believe I have mercury and other toxins trapped in my skin. I have been chelating (andy cutler protocol) for 7 rounds and I seem to get better.
If you want you can check back with me in a 2-3 weeks, I should have my bentonite clay and will share my results with you.
This can be fixed and will one day, I just havent found the right way to get rid of it as of yet.

Thanks for the response. Please report back on the progress you make from the clay.
From my research online I've seen that this problem is so common with almost identical symptoms on people so I'm surprised there is still no medical cure for it.
Have you tried the anti-candida approach in the past and failed? i.e. have you taken probiotics and stuff like Oregano oil and Caprylic acid while maintaining a strict anti-fungal diet for an extended period and saw no results?
I have read from some people online they got rid of the condition by eliminating candida from inside. I have decided to do this regimen too (see below).
I'm gonna explore the candida angle fully before looking into mercury - if it doesn't work. I say this because the itching on my scalp has dramatically reduced since I switched to an anti-fungal diet (google it online if you don't know about it) so it seems clearly that diet does play a part. I have ordered the supplements and intend to stay on the regimen for at least a couple of weeks/months.
The regimen I intend to follow:
- Strict anti-candida/anti-fungal diet
- Supplements that apparently help to kill candida: Oregano oil, Caprylic acid and Garlic.
- High potency Probiotics to replenish good bacteria in gut.
- Will try to add probiotic foods like Kefir and sauerkraut.
- Using only virgin coconut oil for all my veg oil needs.
I'll report back here on progress.

Thanks for the response, I will let you know my findings. We will get to the bottom of this. I have coverage from a Naturopathic doctor and know I dont have a leaky cut or candida. If you dont know what leaky gut is look it up, it may give some insight on everything. I healed leaky gut as well as candida through supplements and diet. I also have water kefir and sauerkraut. They are cheap, easy and really help.

This is a reply to # 2,057,840I take Avodart most days, it's like super Propecia. I don't have any side effects, and very few people have side effects.
Sooner you start taking it, the better...it doesn't work very well at regrowing hair, just maintaining what you've got :)

This is a reply to # 2,057,840If you are strained out then your hair could fall out like that. It happened to me and scared the crap out of me. To thicken your hair I would suggest going to a beauty supply store like Sally's if you have the store near you, and buy millennia mud which has a volcanic ash formula that will thicken your hair speedily and make it really healthy and smoother. We have used it in my family for years. It's very good for your hair.
