Hey guys, thought I'd update you. As you may or may not know, for the last three months I've changed my tooth paste and mouth wash to avoid an allergen (sodium benzoate) which my doctor attributed to my peeling lips. I'm using Tom's of Maine clean and gentle if anyones curious and no mouthwash at all. Well, I'm happy to say I haven't peeled or had ANY build up of dead skin in ten days! My lips feel amazing and I'm positive that they are getting back to normal. I've been using protopic twice a day religiously and vaseline (mainly the lip therapy in the tub and the tube) in between uses and I've noticed that my lips have improved dramatically. It's the inflammation that we have to take care of. I honestly thought I didn't have it anymore after my leave it alone treatment which I tired for 9 months (refer to my post) but I apparently did!. Anyway, My bottom lip DOES look a bit smaller, closer to the natural color, and more "normally shaped" than it did even at the end of that treatment. I've also found that I don't need to use the vaseline nearly as much as I did three months ago when I stared. I will be continuing this treatment for at least another couple months and also provide a picture I took today. This will be the last picture I post here and I most likely won't answer a lot of questions (I really need to move in haha) but I might drop in. IF THIS DOENS"T CURE ME I WILL BE BACK TO TELL YOU, but right now I'm extremely convinced it is. The pain is gone, the peeling has stopped, I can eat drink and talk normally etc. This has never been the case with any other treatments. I'm not saying everyone's EC is caused by an allergy, but I had this for two years and I could've ended it a lot sooner if I wasn't so stubborn with my oral care products. God bless and goodbye.
