There is probably truth to this. Worms babies make cocoons that can go dormant and (maybe) pass through the human digestive tract?

All I know is when I got the ph of my soil right tiny baby worms just "appeared" with no adults so they didn't migrate from the surrounding soil, they hatched.

Conservative approach. I feel that I have a responsibility to protect the other members of my family. None of them are preparing in any way.

I'm looking at land in the Buffalo River area in Arkansas. High ground. Big cities are deathtraps, but I feel like it's the dependency on the system is what is dangerous, not so much location.

Instead of focusing on storing food and water, I'm working on my sustainability in the city. I want to try and dig an emergency well (in most areas you can use pvc pipe, compressed air, and water flow). I need to be sure I can't get into any legal trouble first.

The goal is by this time next year, be 100% sustainable on food and water. I have a year-round garden going and planting fruit and nut trees. I'm doing an experimental hothouse garden plot to see if I can grow tomatoes and papaya this winter. Waste produce goes to the compost worms, which in turn feeds the hens, which in turn supply eggs. Worm castings go right back into the garden. In a pinch you could eat the worms too. :-)

I'm going to hunt deer this fall. It's not my idea of fun to be sure, but I need to learn how to preserve meat and killing a deer myself is the only way to ensure the kill was clean and the animal's spirit was honored.

If all else fails, stock up on rat traps so you can catch squirrels and rabbits.

Tree rats are not my favorite delicacies, but they are an untapped resource - they are everywhere here! And armadillos.
