Hello,
I am feeling very alone and frustrated with this mercury mess. I welcome all your comments & suggestions to help me through this ordeal. Like all/most of you, I have been chronically ill for a long time. Test after test has been normal. Doctor after doctor has no new suggestion.
I recently read about the dental
Amalgams releasing mercury into our bodies. It fits with my health issues and my timeline. The problem is that I can't find a doctor that will test body burden. My primary care ran the blood test that is basically useless for
Amalgam toxicity. I live in Maryland and have called The University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins, and Mercy hospitals. All of them gave me the same speech that
Amalgams are "safe". So, rather then spending a fortune at a holistic center, I decided to go ahead and have the fillings removed.
I found a mercury free/safe dentist nearby that also takes my insurance. He has been mercury free since 1995, so I feel pretty good about using him to replace my 4 amalgams. He will use the suggested protocols for removal. It will be $1,400 out of pocket after insurance pays the yearly maximum. It will be almost half of that if I don't need an inlay. He won't know for sure until he removes the mercury filling.
I will be setting up the appointment to have them replaced within the next week or two. What vitamins/supplements should I start using before the appointment? I have read so many different and conflicting things that my cloudy brain is spinning. I may have been able to handle all this before my mind got lost in the fog, but now it seems overwhelming.
I am also very nervous about detoxing on my own. I really wish I had a doctor to supervise. What detox program would you recommend for a tight budget?
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I appreciate any help you can provide.
