I too am so sorry that you've suffered this way. Thank Grace for the third doctor, who sounds genuinely human. Imagine a world where an MD would only be paid for actually following the Hippocratic oath of "first, do no harm"!
The incredible thing is - and it’s like a huge secret that would rattle the world of mainstream medicine- the many ways disease can manifest are–well, multitudinous and endlessly complex-appearing. But the way of health is no mystery at all! It’s frankly enough to put doctors out of business. It really comes down to this: we stop doing what’s harming us, and start to do what heals us. That sounds daunting at first. You think, but how do I know?
You feel powerless, swamped, or stripped of any power you may have once felt. You know the old saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”? Once you remove all the mucus from the system, that one apple CAN achieve that, even though it sounds like pleasant old-fashioned nonsense. But- you have to get the body to stop producing the mucus; not by tricking it with something to relieve the symptoms but by relieving it of the need to keep creating them.
The mucus is there because it’s working to keep toxins suspended and out of circulation. A certain amount of mucus is natural, of course. A very minimal amount, that does not interfere with functionality, but supports it. Anything more represents some kind of crisis, or emergency bandaid, as far as the body is concerned
Appearances are deceiving—like the sign you see on a new car mirror that says “objects in mirror are closer than they appear”. If we want, we can have endless “specialists”, the hallmark of a specialist being that s/he is only dealing with a piece of the picture. And sadly, medicine itself (as practised commonly) is still in its infancy, in terms of seeing the whole person. There is a rare individual who is able to see from a larger perspective, and rarer still, one who is a truth-teller, like your third doctor.
As I write this, I’m actually having a minor ‘crisis’ myself. I am currently sick with a “cold” that has really flattened me. This is a huge rarity for me. ( Though once, it would have been normal.) But I confess it, because I can trace it for you, and show you why it’s here. I no longer ‘buy’ the concept that we all keep catching colds.
There has been some heavy-duty construction right beside where I live—going on for about two weeks. Okay. Lots of dust, etc. I can deal with that. At the same time, it’s been very hot, and humid. I don’t live with air conditioning. These two things have been mostly/quite bearable, albeit challenging at times, until—I noticed I was getting irritated one day, thinking harshly, “I’ve had enough”—of the noise, the machine vibration, plus there had been painting in the building, with oil paints. Strangely, (not) I then happened to feel a desire to eat some sort of baked scone, when I saw it in the local store. A thing I don’t ever do. Well, one would have been enough. But over a few days, I’ve eaten more. It’s almost been an experiment, because I am endlessly a student, and curious. I’ve been noticing how good the raisons taste, but still was not ‘getting it’, that the breadstuff is what a tired, acidic body let’s say, attracts. And the raisons are what’s really good in there— Better still, would be grapes.
I was using the scone as a form of comfort; a kind of ‘time-out’, when normally I would rest, meditate, or feel inspired to make some good, rawish food, like zucchini linguini
(made with a vegetable peeler) with pesto and tomato sauce. Delicious. Well, I did that too, but allowed the scones to get the better of me—knowing, in some inner place, that they were not food, but junk the body wouldn’t be able to use. Perhaps fueled by the
‘stress’ of so much noise, and so little actual peace. The scones though, I’m pretty sure tipped me over into sick. It sounds as though you’ve lived with stress for quite sometime, with this condition, and then the surgery…
It’s like, if your energy drops below a certain frequency, you start vibrating with low-energy stuff, around you. I hope this isn’t sounding “metaphysical”, because really, it’s Fact—and at some point even medicine will have to acknowledge the truth of it.

Once the system is restored, the body can start to use a single apple it takes in, and extract from it all its goodness, and not merely run ‘damage control’, which is what polyps and cysts and so forth amount to: this is the body’s method of containing toxic overload to small ‘parcels’, which keeps the system as a whole able to keep on keeping on.
We should love and thank the body for working so hard! So often we berate it, at some level, for not being ‘enough’, or for letting us down, when it’s only ever doing the best it can, with what it’s given. The irony is, numerous people have finally, in desperation, given up eating altogether, only to discover they got well! Arnold Ehret is an interesting person to look into.
I was on the very common path of deteriorating ‘middle-age’ health, misdiagnosis, and multi-symptoms that would have led me to drugs and surgery likely, until I started alkalizing, rebuilding my mineral stores, eating largely fruits and vegetables, and finally, water fasting. Other things like using real salt, like Celtic or Himalayan, and basically following the maxim to “let thy food be thy medicine, thy medicine thy food”.
I would say it's crucial for you now to follow a mucus-less, alkalyzing lifestyle. What you eat is the biggest issue, that could change the quality of your whole life, and the good thing about that is, you can take your health into your own hands, AND take back your power – can take responsibility for your wellness, from now on. You can't go back, and redo what's been done, most likely, (although miracles are entirely possible), except at the level of forgiveness, (more on that, another time). But you can help your body to be the best it can be from this day on.
Arnold Ehret,
Herbert Shelton , Paul Bragg, would be interesting (I mean, valuable!)reading for you, in your quest for restored health. Fresh raw fruits and vegetables: especially the leafy greens, are your allies in this work. They are alkalizing. Mucus and acid-forming foods are anything processed, anything ‘white’, meat and dairy products. The body does not run on ready-made "protein", as many of us have long believed. In truth, it
can do more with less, when the less is natural, and wholesome.
There are so many 'secrets' hidden in plain sight. :-)
In your place, I would get very simple, for a time, especially as it's summer) and maybe even have mono-fruit meals, where you eat as much as you want of one kind of fruit: organic is best, and in season. One 'secret' is that the nearer the produce is to where you live, the more balanced its mineral profile is to your constitution, at that particular season. Makes sense!
The idea is not to punish yourself, or deprive you---And not to alkalize too rapidly, which would have the body throwing off a lot of mucus suddenly. As you say,you want *support*, not attack, which you have already experience, thank you very much. I would eat a lot of green leafy salads. Have all different colours of REAL food. Have soaked nuts and seeds. Then, build my confidence up to water fast. So much damage can be healed with a water fast.
Best wishes!
and thank you for giving me this opportunity to clarify my
thoughts, and share them, for the good.
