SURE you can buy adrenal cortex extract (that is a supplement) locally, but the price might be double or more and the amount you will pay at whole foods is ridiculously high. and the one I use is because I found it most effective. others say different brands are most potent. honestly I would get different brands and try them to figure out which one makes you feel SUPER relaxed and at what dose. it is really obvious when it is working because you feel calm.
I am going to be blunt with you, the only way to get through the dump is to keep life simple and take care of yourself as best you can. and breathe. don't make this bigger than it is, and be grateful that you have done everything to get through this. and breathe some more.
and do everything you can to learn how to support systems that are getting run down by processing a lot of mercury that is running them down.
when the dump is over, you still have brain issues which can be summed up here by Andy Cutler =
It is pretty clear from case reports (from patients, not MD's).
Endocrine problems, especially poor stress tolerance: brain.
Emotional volatility, difficulty telling what people are about: brain
Difficulty getting along with people, attention deficit: brain
Brain fog is about 70/30 body/brain. Mostly it does go away even without
brain detox.
Yeast is actually a brain related problem (it is controlled by inadequate
hormone levels, especially hydrocortisone) and while it improves with body
detox, it doesn't go away until the brain is cleared if it is a real bad
case.
Allergies,
food sensitivities , chemical sensitivities do mostly go away
with body detox.
Fibromyalgia seems to be mostly body tox. Chronic fatigue seems to be about
70/30 body/brain.
brain related symptoms (emotional symptoms,
autonomic nervous system problems and endocrine problems)
=======================
in other words...unless you do not have brain problems to begin with...then will still have to deal with them after.
you definitely need to learn about the different systems in the next couple months because they will get worn down by the mercury and that is when you LEARN A LOT about how to support your own system.
like for instance I am "regular" without dmsa but not when I use it...so the magnesium is helpful to not make me feel sick and clogged. all of this was learning through some discomfort.
you are correct, ALA is all you need. but as I mentioned above, DMSA makes my chelating at higher doses very easy so for me it is worth the extra cost.
there is a good chance that all does not turn up rosy after the dump, but it is progress so just welcome it from that perspective!
cheers,
L
