I started my first ever long dry fast today (Tuesday) at noon and I plan on finishing my fast at noon on Sunday. I know, however, that I need to listen to my body (thirst, urination, temperature, etc.) so I will, regretfully, quit early if my body can't handle it. Once my dry fast is over I plan to switch to
Water Fasting and continue fasting until I hit my desired weight. I currently do not know my weight, but after my dry fast is over I will probably weight myself and go from there. I estimate I am currently around 135 lbs, and I would like to get to 120.
So far, at 5.5 hours into the dry fast, the only symptom I have is a headache. I think that is due more to my stress today than anything fast related. I am definitely not thirsty yet, but I do feel the desire to snack!
I am going to continue to update, probably at 12 hour intervals until my dry fast is complete. Wish me luck, and let me know if you are doing something similar so we can support each other!
