Feeling better??Than what? drinking fresh made carrot juice?? Outside of the obvious that nutritionally and enzymatically fresh unpasteurized is waaayyy superior, on taste alone I have tried several brands of bottled (pasteurized) carrot juice over the years and personally for me there's just no comparison at all. Some of the bottled stuff is down right nasty and barely resembles fresh carrot juice. I am surprised that if you are getting a sugar buzz from apple juice that you're also not getting one from carrot juice as it contains a good bit of sugar also.
I am currently on my 40th day of juice feasting which means I make a minimum of 3 qts of juice daily so I am well familiar with the making and clean up of juicing. For >me< it's not even a consideration to do bottled pasteurized juices if I am fasting. My personal take is why bother fasting.
The secret for me is to make it very efficient by getting clear plastic containers the size of shoe boxes and keep my vegs sorted/organized otherwise it would be very time consuming and one big old PITA just to find and gather the vegs for juicing. Specifically since my green juices generally have a minimum of 4 ingredients and as much as 7. Straight carrot juice is a walk in the park and it's what I make if I'm in a hurry and pressed for time.
For clean up I have the large bowl that fits all my juicer parts and I fill it with hot water and keep it running and dump all the parts in to get the bulk of the fiber off then rinse everything under very fast hot running water. The screen is the only thing that takes more work but for that I have a round stiff bristle bottle brush for the inside and another for the outside of the screen cone. If I just get down to business and not dilly dally I can make one quart of 7 part juice and clean my juicer in approx 1/2 hour. If I'm just making straight carrot I can proly cut it down to 15 +/- mins
If I am really in a hurry or plain just lazy I just leave the parts soaking in the big bowl and add a coupla drops of soap till the next juicing session.
You're mostly correct on relievieng the digestlive system but you can not ignore the issue of live enzymes that aid the system in cleansing and the nutrition part that live juices provides vits and minerals to help us function while we fast and aid the system rebuild.
Have you considered the Master Cleanse? You already have a citrus juicer and that makes it really efficient where you can make your whole daily ration for the day in the morning n less than 30 mins. I really think from all views that you would be much better off and accomplish your cleansing goals much more efficiently with the MC than doing dead bottled juices.
Have you tried any of the oxygen based colon cleansers like OxyPowder?
I can understand not resonating with it but when all is said and done it would be waaayyy better than dead bottled juices.
The maple syrup is a simple sugar that provide minerals and carbs to maintain energy. You really need to do some research on cayenne cause it's an amazing healing herb. I know one of our posters, Zoe that use to be a regular in the MC forum has a blog dedicated to cayenne here on CZ with some great info and I encourage you to find it plus any other research you can find by Googling cayenne benefits.
I have done over a dozen 40 day MCs and I can tell you it changed my life and health. The last few I would go at least 21-30 days MC and the remaining days to 40 veg juice and found the switch very beneficial. After doing much reading I have evolved into "Juice Feasting" I posted the Juice Feasters Handbook link to the PDF on the Juice Fasting and Raw Food forum if you are intrested in more info. I immediately resonated with it and now that I have been on it for 41 days I'm in like Flint so this will be my new cleansing/healing modality . I am a very pragamatic, common sense kinda guy and juice feasting makes total sense to me.
There are other oxygen based colon cleansers out there and some include herbs and stuff. I don't have any personal experience with any besides OP but you may want to czech and see if you find one that floats your boat
