I am HIV+ too, showbiz; have been since 1998. My experience is very different from yours.
I tell my whole story here, so I won't repeat it, but I took the ARVs and they nearly killed me.
You say you denied the drugs and got sick. What else did you do to improve your health? A positive result on Gallo's multifactoral antibody test is surely a warning sign, no denying that. But taking a lifetime of chemotherapy (and that's really what most AIDS drugs are) is also damaging to health.
I wish you well, and I will be interested in learning what your experience on the current "medical treatment" is in ten years... or 20.
