Yes you can die from
Epsom Salt overdose, but you can die from too much of just about anything. It is not possible to say how much can cause an overdose as it depends on the individual and their health at the time. Personaly I feel that 4 tablespoons of
Epsom Salts is too much and that amoungt is not necessary for a successful liver flush.
I feel that you should take less to start with and especially take less if you are not well and if you have a small frame or low body weight.
If you suspect you already have gallstones, take herbs to disolve them first.
If you want to start a liver cleanse, see how you react to the
Epsom Salts first. Take one teaspoon of
Epsom Salts on an empty stomach and see how you feel, if you feel sick then its a sign that you have toxins that the epsom salts have realised, keep taking one teaspoon every few days (consult with a naturopath if you can on the amount) until one teaspoon stops making you feel ill, then consider starting liver flush.
I have done a successful flush with only 1 teaspoon of epsom salts, then another 1 teaspoon of epsom salts 2 hours later, then the oil and grapefruit juice 2 hours later.
Generally the first flush will make you feel ill but the next ones shouldn't be so bad, so consider taking less epsom salts and a little less olive oil the first time.
I don't take the morning epsom salts if I am feeling ill, if I feel ok I take one teaspoon only.
I feel the epsom salts helps to produce faster results, but the most I will take is 1 and a quater teaspoon, then 1 and a half teaspoon 2 hours later.
Colonics are expensive and rather extreme but you can do ememas yourself for a fraction of the price and not as extreme. It is important to do a colon flush or a few enemas and follow the diet guidelines before the flush or you might feel quite ill.
Colonics or enemas after the flush are very important and especially if you have taken less epsom salts which flush everything out, but even if you take the full amount or epsom salts, stones still get stuck and make you feel ill. Enemas are not as bad as you think.
I feel the epsom salts knocks you around a lot and it is better to be cautious and take a little less especially in the beginning.
And definately do not take the bath salts! Only take epsom salts from the health food shop that are marked for internal consumption. The cheap ones from the pharmacy may contain arsenic or other nasties, even though they may tell you that it is safe to drink - it is not safe at all. Good luck!
