It is great to have you back! Gotta have Trapper or something is amiss on this forum!
This cracked me up from that website:
Why Is Iodine Supplementation So Controversial And Why Do You Have Stuff Dripping Out Your Nose When Taking Iodine Supplements?
I just see the same basic story repeated from time to time. This is what Dr. Donald Miller had to say --
www.donaldmiller.com/Iodine%20Talk.doc
It's confusing to compare the eBay seller's SSKI with yours. He offers 30 ml for $14.99 TOTAL (item + s/h), whereas your offer here is $21 including postage. His label says each drop has 20 mg iodine, which converts to approx 27 mg KI. My last bottle of your SSKI, I measured each and every drop just for the heck of it, and got 912 drops. That's almost 33 mg KI per drop, or almost 25 mg iodine per drop. Beats his hands down.
I've already had weaker SSKI, and seriously don't want to go back. I also don't want to get the 4 oz he's offering, because I get annoyed just thinking about dealing with it. The 1-oz bottle is perfect.
To the winner and still champion!
I realized later that my choice of the word "weaker" was perhaps ill-advised. What I was thinking at the time was, Weaker per drop. If I assume eBay guy's solution is accurate, then the size of drops out of his dropper is smaller than Trapper's, so less solution is being delivered. I don't know how to evaluate any of that without an investment of $$ I'm not willing to make when I have a source right here that I trust. :)
LOL -- I know the feeling about the $15! Trapper had a great idea about using syringes to measure SSKI. When you know the solution is 1 gram KI/ml distilled sater, and you take 1 ml as measured in a syringe, then you know you're getting a gram. Hubby had some insulin syringes hanging around for injecting oil into tight spaces, and he started using a clean one for his SSKI. That way, even 400 mg is pretty sure, with 0.4 ml measured out.
