How can you learn shit if there is no shinola?
I say that people who justify evil and suffering by saying that they are somehow necessary for us to learn, know and appreciate good things in life actually don't know shit from shinola.
There is no justification for wrong nor is it in any way necessary.
What exactly does hope, courage or service have to do with justifying evil? You may not be in the shit business, but I am surely seeing an abundance of shinola when you try to justify wrongs as being necessary in order to have right. That is a false construct that people have bought into because their religious leaders have tried to justify the existence of sin. That works for me about as well as the concept of an all powerful and inerrant God who was so perfect that He created a world so imperfect that He had to wipe it all out with a big flood and start all over again. Some myths die hard. The concept of the necessity of evil is obviously one of them.
There is no justification for wrong nor is it in any way necessary…..

These things are learned from the experiences of living a life, learned from the particular society that one is raised in… Its not about justifying wrong, its about recognizing the fact that wrong and right come together, they are compliments of each other. Its not possible to have one without the other also being there. Trying to negate the bad, to eliminate the bad, in this world, it is like trying to create a bar magnet that has only one pole. If one has never tried it, it will look entirely logical that by cutting off the south pole, one will have a one poled magnet. Instead what is created are two bar magnets both having a north and south pole. To be able to read what you've written is because the black letters are written on a white background. Living a life is not such a black and white phenomenon. The intellect may have an easier time existing in a black and white world, but living Life is not so black and white. Sometimes it happens that a thing first viewed as being black later turns out to be a horse of a different color. It happens because one is not a static thing. One learns and grows as they go in this world through life experiences. If one chooses to identify with only one end of the spectrum - that which is considered virtuous, righteous and good, then one has also chosen, as a consequence, the sinner which will be seen to be elsewhere - in others. To try to make a better world by eliminating all the wrong, by cutting off the south pole from the north, the bad will keep popping up elsewhere. Once the finger starts pointing at others as to where the wrong is, as to who are the evil ones, and as to who are the righteous, then it never stops. Keep cutting off one end of the bipolar bar magnet a thousand times and you will end up with a thousand bar magnets each having both ends of the spectrum. By choosing to know what is good, what is right, what is virtuous, one handicaps one’s own vision, in being able to see a possible bigger picture. Blinders are set in place. Seeing becomes pointed in an outwardly direction. One has lost the ability to look within at one's own self, and the possiblities that come through learning from living a life. Before one's life ends, one has already arrived at a conclusion. When leaning stops, growth stops too.
