We enjoy drinking coconut water, but the only young coconut we can get in southern California is from Thailand. I don't have a problem with where the coconut was from, but I recently learned that before shipping the coconut to the market, the growers inject some kind of chemical in the coconut to make the juice sweeter and to make the coconut last much longer for storage.
I researched for more information but haven't found anything about the chemical injection. I wouldn't doubt that the growers practice this to make their coconuts last longer. Too bad that everything pretty much has to be denaturalized.
We don't know where to get young organic coconut to drink the water from.
There there is injection into the coconut, I would like to learn what it is that the growers inject and what kind of long-term damage to a person's body by drinking the injected-chemical young coconut.
Thanks for your responses.
