After a devastating injury from a near-fatal accident left Bruce Lurie paralyzed from the neck down and in critical condition, Dr. Fuhrman initiated real nutrition through a feeding tube – leading him down the road to recovery . . . even beginning to walk again!

While boogie boarding three years ago, Bruce was hit by a great white shark going after a seal and thrown off his board onto some rocks. He suffered a massive and catastrophic spinal cord injury that left him quadriplegic. He was placed on a ventilator, unable to speak or swallow.
