Both myself and Luella would like to know if anyone is familiar with the electrical devices made by Alpha-Stim.
They are supposed to help manage pain, as well as stress, anxiety, panic disorder and more - depending on which model is selected (there is one product for pain, another for stress/depression/panic, etc. and a combo model for all of them)

This is a reply to # 1,443,570I think the Alpha-stims are good products with some excellent feedback from users. That said they are too expensive to be affordable for most people unless you can get a scriipt from a psychiatrist or MD for one (that's if your insurance will cover it). The Sota BT7 can be used the same way as the Alpha-stim for emotional disorders as well as muscle stim/pain relief with the accessory electro-pads. The Sota BT7 is also much more affordable at about $180. There is some feedback from CZ members about the BT7 but not much from Alpha-stim users. Hope that helps.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,443,792I don't have any direct experience with the Alpha-stim. Closest I can give is my brother used one for Depression but didn't see any significant relief with it. I beleive he used it for about 2 weeks. The Sota feedback is generally positive. Some folks need to find the right setting for good results. A few of us have found settings #3 and #6 on the Sota Bt7 work well for anxiety. Settings #1 and #4 are more geared for depression. Settings #2 and #5 might work better for insomnia as it pulses at the delta brainwave pattern associated with deep sleep.

LOL - trust me, this is NOT Luella May, but for some reason the laptop she had been using to hold down the fort while I was pretty much incapacitated insists on reverting to her ID every so often no matter if I log her out and log myself in. Grrrr! But that is OK, the info is for the both of us.

This is a reply to # 1,444,225I beleive Sota makes electropads for the BT7 which allows it to be used as a TENS unit for pain relief. You might want to give them a ring and see if they have the adapter available. If so then you have a dual purpose unit for the half the price of the Alpha-stim.

There is a DIN connector available as noted above that allows you to use stick on electrodes. You can then use thes pads on various Chi Points to provide relief.
However, for muscle pains and bruises I am bigger supporter of Becks MP5 Mag Pulser. I own TWO BT-7's and one Mag Pulser. I will probably get two more Mag Pulsers; one for each of my kids. It really is amazing even on a Wasp Sting it works like magic. PEMF technology will be main stream in the next 5 years. Just wait and see.

This is a reply to # 1,443,570I just got an Alpha-stim. I have had it for just 7 days. I am loving it. I am in Canada and Health Canada is just now (May 2014) introducing the need for this to be only on a prescribed basis!
Before purchasing this I did some research and found everything very positive about it. I am finding it is helping already. This product has been around for quite some time. Why would 'they' suddenly decide you need a prescription? Well,most of us know why, don't we. It is because it works and the drug companies/government(s) have conspired to make it easier to get
d r u g s then the Alpha-stim.
I am buying my Alpha-stim via rent-to-own basis. I am in Canada. I am very impressed so far with how this product is helping. I do not know,yet, whether this will be permanent or whether or not it will be a permanent fix or if I will continue to use it from time to time.
My guess is that it will depend on the person and condition (PTSD,depression,
anxiety,addiction,bi-polar, and age).
