This is going to be one long post from seperate posts I made on the Lyme forum.
Pursinghealing was saying that one of the things that was found with the biofeedback testing, was a thymus supplement was indicated.
Dr. B's Original Complete Thymic Formula
Two times, I was "untestable" with muscle testing, and the ND told me that he had had one other patient that no one in S. Calif had been able to muscle test, because of being out of balance (polarity). He had figured out that it had to do with the thymus. Once he got her started on thymus natural supplements, she was "testable" and was never again "untestable" after that.
He found the same thing with me. When he was able to test me, my thymus showed very weak. 3 weeks of being on the Biotic's Rearch, natural Thymus formula at the dose I muscle tested I needed, it was back within the normal range.
During the time of the thymus being out of whack though, was one of the worse times during this healing process that I've ever felt. That was also when he tested other glands, and the Axis glands were also all out of whack (Hypothalmus/Pituitary especially, hypothalmus being the head of the axis gland train) but also Adrenals (found in a saliva test) and thyroid...
I was also just reading in the Cutler book, that the hypothalmus is where mercury collects too.
Some interesting posts of Newport's I just reread, and the connection between a faulty thymus and parasites.

*******
I don't cuss (much) :)
But there's alot of going forward and backward with all of this stuff.
It can get tiring, and discouraging
"emotions bordering on dispair but unwilling to give up", is how the one biofeedback test put it in describing me. I know what giving up would mean.
I KNEW from how I was feeling, that my glands have been out of whack for a while now. I specifically asked to be muscle tested for them yesterday, because I've known how I've felt in the past when they were so bad. For the past 6 months, the Alternative Dr has wanted to focus on the liver detox, and felt that with the high herbicides/pesticides, and other chemicals found, that it was like peeing in the wind to try to get the glands balanced.
The other thing found on the other biofeedback test, was that my Resistance (to infection) is VERY low.
Thymus, and Spleen are major parts of the immune system. If the thymus that was found to be very low, has not been functioning very well, and the Spleen was found to be one of the highest stressed organs (again)...it's no wonder I not only came down with whatever flu bug it was that lasted so long (nothing would hit it)...but no wonder the biofeedback testing also showed I still have ongoing enfluenza's showing...and active EBV (which also showed on the other biofeedback testing); and Coxsackie Virus...
and muscle testing, once again, showed the Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever, and other Lyme coinfections.
I'm not going off the gland stuff again.

And then there's part 2...
And Newport being right, as usual.
I won't do it again, and wouldn't have done it at that time if I had known then what the push test with DMSA has caused (in a negative way) for people doing metals tests..
But, the urine challenge test I did some months back, showed the extremely high level of Lead...Bismuth was the next highest one, a trace of arsenic, and no sign of mercury...
With the old mining town that I grew up in being the leading producer of Lead in it's heyday..and arsenic and mercury used to in mining the silver that was also produced..I have felt that the old mining "slag dumps" that are exposed, in the middle of the town, have to have alot of toxic stuff still in it. Not only did we play on those dumps as kids, but there is a mine just 4 miles uphill from the town, that I found had been scheduled for a million dollar cleanup..because of the mercury/arsenic/lead. It is two miles above the main source of water for the town, and just 4 miles above the actual townsite.
My father told me that one of his jobs when he rode for ranchers in that area, was to keep the cows away from the Springs and water sources..because they died from drinking the water.
So, it's not just the
Amalgams I've had some concern with.
From what I've learned from Newport, mercury won't show up on normal types of metals tests, even though it's present.
When I would ask the ND to include metals in the biofeedback testing before, he didn't really want to because he thought the actual metals tests were the best to show results....
Finally, I convinced him yesterday to include metals in with the testing we were doing.
:(

That's my unhappy face, with tears...even though I know Newport is usually always right...sometimes it's not what I'd rather have confirmed...
Lead..bismuth...mercury...arsenic..uranium (and silver)
All things that brought alot of the other stuff going on, into "balance".

Consider how many people MD's put on thyroid medication...
From what I understand of how the glands work, they are called the Axis glands..they work together like a train. From the way the ND explained it to me, the head of the train, is the Hypothalmus, and Pituitary, Thyroid, Adrenals all need to be working balanced for the train to be running well. Adrenals showed in the saliva test. MD's blood tests for thyroid, don't show squat. Time and again, thyroid has shown as being within the MD's "normal" range, but showed very weak in muscle testing.
What the ND uses for supplements for the specific glands, is the animal-source glandulars (plus, specific vitamins etc)
He muscle tests with his different strengths of glandular, homeopathic vials, to first see which glands I am showing weak with..and then he muscle tests me with that homeopathic vial, with the different supplements to see which one is what I need (and then at what dosages).
In the past, the hypothalmus was the one that was showing the worst, and the hypothalmus/pituitary combo from Biotic's Research was what showed as being the best supplement for me...plus the Biotic's Research Adrenals, and Thyroid, and Thymus.
This time, the Pituitary is what showed to be the worst, at 200x for the diagnostic part.
The dosages I was found that I needed of each glandular, per day, are:
Hypothalmus (Allergy Research Group) 3x 1,000 mg
Pituitary (Genestra Brands) 4x90 mg
Adrenals (Biotics Research) 8x90 mg
Thymus wasn't dosed out because he was out of the supplement, but he's showed my husband and I how to do the muscle testing for dosing, and I'll order it online.
From the way he looks at the thyroid..rather than going right to addressing the Thyroid (like MD's would), that these other "Axis" glands getting back on the train track, will also bring the Thyroid into line.
The same thing when people go right to working on the Adrenals, without knowing that the other glands also have to be working together as well.

And..I found out that thinking I could start eating wheat bread (after being off of gluten for 2 1/2 years), isn't going to work either. I brought some of the bread with me for him to test me with, and it wasn't good.
Unknown
food sensitivities , also cause the immune system to be messed up. I had just hoped I could be eating it and getting away with it. Doesn't leave me much choice for carb's though-- with the salicylate foods being the highest on the biofeedback tests (almost all fruits/berries/vegetables/nuts/spices), it's like my daughters asked me when they were here...mom, what CAN you eat? Meat, dairy. Oatmeal showed to be good for me in muscle testing. I thought eggs and chicken were ok for me, until they showed to not be good in another biofeedback test.
But, with metals messing up how many enzymes (1100)? It all goes together.
