Hi all, the water store down the street where we buy our purified water also sells Ozonated water. I bought it before and it is different. My question is, if the water was indeed ozonated,, I have recently read that ozone breaks down fast and that it should be consumed as soon as it's made when drinking ozonated water. So if I'm buying a 5 gallon bottle of ozonated water from this guy, obviously that water is going to sit on the counter for a while as we consume it. Is it useless to purchase his ozonated water? Or is it fine to store it for a while?

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,405,417Yes, from what I remember the half life of O3 - Ozone in air is 7 seconds and to get the benefit of freshly ozonated water it should be ice cold and consumed within minutes.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,405,417If you exposed the steam in your home distiller to a strong UV it will convert the steam to Ozone, then as the ozone steam condenses back into liquid your water is more oxygenated. I read that in a Scientific US Patent on Water purifying. the stronger the UV the shorter time for exposure is needed.

This is a reply to # 1,405,350The ozonation disinfects the water as well as oxidizes harmful compounds such as xenoestrogens. As the ozone breaks down it also forms small amounts of peroxides that help to keep the water pathogen free.
