That is a cute pooch - and how symbolically appropriate too. The exterior attractiveness masks what may be a wholly unsuitable interior makeup for the selected role (according to many breeders, aggressiveness and difficulty with children are two problematic areas).
I cannot fail to notice that Obama had to abandon yet another campaign promise in order to get the pure-breed dog. He had promised to rescue a dog from a pound or shelter. Instead, through some chicanery from fellow Democrat Ted Kennedy, he got a dog that was "returned" by the original owner and just happened to be from the same litter Kennedy himself picked a dog from.
Some rescue, huh? A "smoke and mirrors rescue". Now why does that sound familiar . . .
I completely agree! I hope all those who supported him election day are reaping all the rewards they were expecting and then some. Its unfortunate more of them didn't see his deception before casting their vote.
I know several people who voted for him and every single one of them have told me they are sorry they did. I don't care about the dog either. I do care about the policies that affect me because one by one they are affecting my life in a major negative way.
Yeah, sucks for them and for me too. I haven't suffered with my investments or my income as of today but I'm self employed so that has something to do with it as I'm not dependent on a business staying open for my income like a lot of people are. I'm fortunate in that I live debt free but I have cut my spending considerably, I like to keep my life as simple as it can be. I agree with you that family and friends are much more important than money any day.
I live in a rural area but I do get together with friends for a potluck meal once a week which is really nice. It seems like there is more and more of that kind of thing going on now, its kind of like getting back to the basics and I like that aspect of it. I have friends who live in a neighborhood and they have a block party once a week where everyone brings food and just has fun.
I wasn't referring to anything financial regarding the election of Obama, although I don't agree with all the bailouts, we should have just let all those companies go under IMO. Its that I can see he is leading the country to a place where we will no longer recognize the constitution or the freedoms it has given us. According to the report the Department of Homeland Security put out April 7th I am now considered a "right wing extremist" since my opinions don't mesh with the Obama regime, in fact you could insert my name into several of those groups DHS wants the police to look out for. I can go on and on with my opinions about all he is doing but you get my point right? To be precise I believe he is going to take away the freedom of the American people by demolishing our rights one by one. We are a government of the people by the people and for the people, we need less government not more.
I agree completely. Obama can do no wrong if you listen to the mainstream media, you'd think he can walk on water lol. I believe the more time that goes by the more eyes will open and see his agenda clearly I hope thats the case anyway.
Wow I'm sorry you feel that way. Since when is it being "smug and holier than thou" to state the truth of ones life? CSB posted his situation and I posted mine its as simple as that. I am in no way "smug" or "holier than thou" my financial situation is a direct result of the choice I made to live debt free and at the beginning believe me it was no picnic to put it mildly. When many of my friends were taking wildly indulgent vacations and buying every new gadget that hit the market I chose to forego the pleasure at that time in my life so that I could attain my goal of living debt free. And I have attained it while those same friends are now drowning in credit card debt just trying to keep their heads above water. That doesn't make me any better than they are it just means I made different choices in my life and my outcome is different. A couple of them thought I was crazy and laughed at me at the time but now that the shoe is on the other foot I don't choose to laugh at them I'm showing them how to live debt free.
I had the good fortune to have people in my life whose wise counsel I chose to listen to and follow. I have raised my son on those same principles and he in his young life is also living debt free because he chose to 'live like no one else so that later in his life he could live like no one else.' That is the teaching of Dave Ramsey. He wasn't around when I was my sons age for me to learn from but I'm glad he's out there now teaching people to live debt free so that in times like these people can make it through without losing everything they own.
I worked hard in my younger years to live like I'm living now, anybody can do it if they choose to. Nothing "smug and holier than thou" about that.
No problem, sorry I misunderstood who the post was meant for so I thought I'd explain why I posted what I did.
