Thank you so much for not taking my post badly. I felt guilty about it up till reading your post and had signed on to apologise. I'm sorry. I hadn't realised how much this problem bothered me. This whole thread has caused a bit of soul searching for me. I agree with everything you posted. Both times. After all the whole point of this board is to find natural solutions.
I did a lot of research on the excess hair problem about 5 years ago and didn't find any natural solutions but I wasn't looking for hormonal imbalance solutions because I've always been this way. If anything the hair on my legs has gotten a tiny bit finer as I age. Not enough to ever mean I'll have silky soft legs though. Maybe when I am 80:) As to hair in the other dreaded places I thought that all women of my type had this to deal with as they age. It never occured to me that hormones could be contributing.
I have done fasting, bowel\colon cleansing, kidney cleansing,
parasite cleansing, and just recently liver cleansing. At present I am in the middle of taking kidney herbs and will be doing more
Liver Cleanses monthly. I'd love to do them bi-monthly but my blood
Sugar won't hear of it yet. What I haven't done is clean up my mouth, it's in sad shape. I'm probably a couple of months out to starting that. I tried to find a dentist to get the
Amalgam out years ago but they all refused. And I have never done a heavy metal cleanse.
The only way any of this affected my hair is that on a extended fast all body hair growth seems to slow down. It picks back up again shortly(within two months) after getting back to normal eating habits (I was vegetarian about half of the time, and was using natural home made cleaners so exposure to toxins was minimal).
When I lost 50
pounds in 5 months I also lost about half of my head hair and body hair slowed way down. I researched it and found out that can happen when you lose weight too fast. Supplements can help it not to happen and an excess of some supplements can actually make it worse. I was bad about remembering to take the vitamins Dr. Atkins recommended so I brought it on myself. Fortunatly the hair on my head is growing back now. This is why I am suspicious of any hair loss as it affected my legs before it did my head.
So now I've shared everything I know about hair loss and excess hair that I can remember at the moment. Or at least anything I think might be pertinent to this discussion. Maybe you can use some of it to help solve the mystery. I havn't given up hope but I'm close.
I think before we can help this guy or his girlfriend we need to know more about her. Eating habits, health habits, heredity. But if she is on the pill would doing cleanses to help a possible hormonal imbalance work even temporarily?
Take care,
Lisa
