I've done a 10 day Master-Cleanse before and lost over have a stone. I'd like to go further and do a 20 day + Master-Cleanse but I'm a bit concerned about losing too much weight (especially muscle) and my metabolism dropping too much.
I've thought about taking a few table spoons of Virgin Coconut oil while on the Master-Cleanse as I know it boosts the metabolism and the calories should help maintain the weight.
Please do us a favor and save the same ole BS you keep spewing here over and over about what this forum is or isn't and then recommend stuff without the common courtesy of even giving any kind of reasoned explanation as to how any of these additions and changes will affect the function/efficacy of the MC or any other form of fasting for that matter.
This was done and over a good while ago and you know good and well where the "modified MC forum" is. Know what I mean jelly bean. There you can spill your guts about anything you want that is not related or SUPPORTIVE of the MC.
The best way to boost the metabolism is to keep active and exercise. Adding oil to any fast you will be interfering with the way it works by giving the digestive system a rest and the oil will keep the digestive system active and work both against the efficacy of the cleansing process and most likely you do yourself no favors cause once the digestive system is kept active this will keep you hungry throughout the fast. A whole different set of gastric juices are necesary to digest any oils and this will most likely interfere with the cleansing and the alkilinizing action of the lemon juice of the MC and change the MO of any other fast.
Are you using the full dose of Maple syrup? are you doing up to the max recommended 12 lemonades?
I have done 10 MCs the 2 shortest were 21 and 28 days then 6 full 40 dayers and 2 40 which started MC then switched to juice approx half way. I have always exercised through all fasts at a much reduce rate than my regular routine and never noticed any muscle loss.
