Hi Justforme30.
I will try to help you with your questions.
First you seem to have some anxiety about this and trust me this is much safer and healthier than "other diets" or diets in highly processed foods etc.
Most people don't realize that good health , healthy body inside and out is about proper habits and food choices. You should think about possibly a lifestyle change and do the 80/20 raw/other. You will definitely see changes in your body if learn to use Food combining principles, mostly raw and even incorporate
Water Fasting and or juice feasting. I am sure you could probably avoid cosmetic surgery if this is why you attempting to "diet". Check out the
Water Fasting forum. Chrisb1 has alot of posts on food combining principles and can answer probably many of your questions. There are books available regarding food combining principles by Harvey Diamond among others.
Furthermore, there are some issues addressed regarding cosmetic surgery in the
Water Fasting forum as well.
Utilizing natural hygiene principles and food combining rules ( see water fasting board for those discussion) generally you are guided by the following:
1. eat according to natural hunger
2. follow rules on eating fruit: a)never combine fruit with other foods other than fruit. Certain frutis can only be eaten alone ie. melons. There are rules for combining concentrated fruits like figs and bananas . YOu can generally eat as much as you want of the fruit as long as you are not combining with protein or complex carbs or other carbs. You must wait 30 minutes at least before you go to adding carb or protein as an addition. For carb or protein digestion will take 3-4 hours so that is why you eat fruit first since digestion of fruit only takes 30 minutes and you want to avoid fermentation in the gut.
3. Vegetables are eaten separately .
As much vegetables can be eaten . Combine vegetables with protein or carb but not both at the same time.
4. As far as what are you allowed to drink, water , freshly juiced vegeatables or fruits in proper combinations. If you drink fruit juice you would not combine it with a meal of vegetables and protein or carbs.
You can also drink homemade nutmilks. Generally, don't consume store bought juice because the enzymes are dead the juice is considered devitalized. Not sure what the rules are for nutmilks but nuts are considered protein source, so it would probably be safe to combine with vegetables.
As far as preparing yourself mentally, do the raw with the proper food combining principles and you will see results. What results are those? That depends on your body, your current weight , sedentary or active lifestyle and or any medical conditions or medications you are taking.
IF you are healthy then it is not unusual to lose 20
pounds in six weeks as some have reported. However, if you have been yo-yoing or have other issues that may be different. There are no guarantees , it is a process. But you are better off for the healthier choices.
I would not personally recommend lipo. I think you can reshape your body naturally through proper food choices, food combining principles exercise and discipline. If you are considering bariatric surgery as your post suggests, juice feasting would offer you faster weightloss and then you go to raw. How you break juice feasting and water fasting is important.
There are tons of raw recipes on the net. I personally keep it simple. Fruit in the morning. Afternoon will have either tomatos and avocado together or add a protein like hummus. Dinner is large salad or mix it up. Sometimes fruit in the afternoon. I try to be mostly strict but events come around and if you are at someone's house sometimes things don't work out as planned. Have a back up plan or fit that meal into the 20%. You can juice as one of your meals. I think it actually is easier than cooking constantly. I don't have recipes on hand but look to Curezone or on the net and you will find plenty. Plenty of raw cooking books at amazon.com etc.
Good luck to you.
