Yes thanks LuLu and to others that replied.
I have been a regular here, so have read all Fonty and Chris's posts. I also have several fasting books and websites in favorites on my pc. However, food combining is something i need to learn more about, but if anything means to much messing about, especially when cooking for others, i'm not going to stick with it. Just being honest.
I suppose i just wondered if anyone had first hand knowledge of healing their digestive tract and how long it took. I'm not sure what is wrong but just seems a little impaired compared to say my husbands.
I broke last time using Bragg's method, which is raw cabbage, beetroot (V.messy) and grated carrot, and then later stewed tomatoes and melba toast(wholegrain baked in oven) as was only 3 day fast. Then basically ate normally, but no junk. I think i had some melon first.
Next time i'll stick with fruit juice and soft fruit, like pear, even if fairly short fast.
I had a right side discomfort for days after. I also get that same discomfort if i eat anything with bicarb or baking powder in, like fruit cake, which i used to make but my digestion can't handle it, i sometimes wonder if i have stones, being hypo.
I have spent time on Liverflush forum reading, but don't want to do one, and would rather let waterfasting deal with them if i have any. That would mean i would have to correct my faulty metabolism (i.e hypothyroidism)through waterfasting to do that and make sure the problem did not re-occur.
Anyway, i started a new fast today, but already mucked it up. I was making a whey and banana shake for son, and there was some left in blender, and i forgot myself, and finished it off. So need to start again. Oh well!
