I have demodex mites and suffer from Acne for the past 12 years. But it has gotten worse, and now I am losing hair because of them. I just need to know where the hell I got these mites from so I can avoid there primary cause? I don't own any pets! And what is the most well known effective treatment for killing and preventing them? (The only time I have not had Acne was when I used dermadoctor glycolic acid products.) Does Glycolic acid kill them? What should I put in my shampoos to stop my hair from falling out?- Re: Where do demodex mites come from... venkvelaga

This is a reply to # 1,150,876Glycolic acid is used for acne. It kills bacteria associated with acne. Demodex can contain bacteria witch can cause acne.
How do you know you have demodex?

This is a reply to # 1,152,079Also Demodex is quite common in older people 90-98% have them so they are everywere not just in animals. Kinda like dust mites. They live in the subecous glands and in or near har follicles. They prefer face and nose areas. They cause more of a problem in immune comprimised people. - See Wikepedia

This is a reply to # 1,152,096I have a suppressed immune system because of my diabetes. I guess that is why they are so out of control in my hair and skin. Now, will boosting my immune system help keep these creeps away?

This is a reply to # 1,150,876Hi Just read your page I use a natural product called sea buckthorn oil also as a shampoo google and you will find sites.
