I think hyperplasia is generalized term. The inflamation is causing the crusting.
The inflamation is due to something, either fungal, viral, bacterial, auto immune,
allergies, irritation or deficiencies.
And when I say viral or fungal it may not even be directly on the lips but just a
reaction to the antigens in the blood.
Strangely enough its limited to the vermillion border of the lips.
Most of us do not have manifestations in other places except on the lips.
So it very strange to say the least...
Well in answer to your question try glycerin. Glycerin can be purchased over
I have not tried it myself because I am still using clortrimazole cream(at night
when i am sleeping only), zinc, iron, probiotic and antihistmine every other day.
So I have not tired glycerin topically on my lips yet until I see if what I
am doing now is successful.
Here's an excerpt about glycerin:
a recent study suggests that glycerin may be beneficial for skin conditions such as SD . It was reported that topical application may help normalize the rate at which skin cells turnover. Besides that, glycerin has long been used as a skin humectant. Some anecdotal reports state that one part glycerin to two parts water seems to control flaking and dryness without resorting to oil based moisturizers. Gylcerin can be found on the shelves in many pharmacies
