uuhhmm you know what now that you mention it...I had some kind of weird skin disorder under both my breasts, in the inside bend of my forearm and on my thighs like a week after I had my Mirena IUD put in. I wondered too if it was caused from that but silly me didn't call the dr. I put some antibacterial cream that was a prescription of my daughters that she no longer needed after I talked to the pharmacist, for like a week. She suggested I try that and if that didn't clear it up to ck with my dr.

Well it did clear up and never came back. Now I don't know if that was an allergic reaction, my body adjusting to something foreign being in it, or just plain ol' nerves and stress. Like my nurse practioner who removed my Mirena IUD said some people just don't react well to something foreign being in their body. Sounds to me like A LOT of people don't react well at all!!

I HATE MIRENA!!!!!!!!

I had my Mirena for almost 3 months, I had it out today.
I work in a OBGYN that puts in Mirenas like hot cakes on a daily basis.
I see the messages we get with people calling in, Nausea, fatigue, pain, headaches etc.
I went to the Dermatologist because the skin on my face would not stop turning red and peeling, and looked like small blisters, a side effect of I think they say 0.1 % on the Mirena website, it was Exzema. I had had an increase in headaches, and spells of crying horrible Acne on my face and back, now how do you get Acne and exzema on your face? My dermatologist told me to get it out.. The manufacturer and Drs saying that its a localized hormone is Bull.
The body would not have side effects such as acne, if it wasnt going throughout your body.
