Hello everyone,

Vincent, in the past (Your posting of November 15, 1999, 'Re: Thioproline') you have emphasized the negative aspect of Thioproline.

Vincent, it is a whole new ball game!

My research has demonstrated that vitamin C affords phenomenal protection against the toxicity of Thioproline which (alone) generated these results in a clinical trial involving human beings in Spain in 1979:

".....Definite signs of activity were observed in epidermoid carcinoma of other regions in in other solid tumours, such as breast, renal, ovary, thryroid, and parotid cancer."

".....Histological studies showed involution and transformation into low-grade malignancies and disappearance of evidence of cancer."

In my April 7 posting, '10 Best Censored Stories of Recent Years', I stated:

"Since November, 1997, I have been imploring medical authorities to conduct a clinical trial to determine whether cancer patients would derive considerable benefit from swallowing 'mega-doses' of vitamin C and Thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid ('Thioproline') and 'above average' amounts of magnesium/zinc/manganese.

Thus far I have not received a definitive response from any medical authority in the United States. However, I shall continue in my quest."

Vincent, you and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are alike - both of you are not being fair to me.

Vincent, what is your objection to seeing the 1979 Spanish clinical trial repeated?

However, this time the cancer patients would swallow 'mega-doses' of vitamin C and Thioproline and 'above average' amounts of magnesium/zinc/manganese.

Vincent, if I speak the truth and Thioproline is, indeed, the Cure for Cancer, patients could almost make it in their kitchens.

Vincent, you are a chemist. Here is how Thioproline is prepared; can you foresee any substantial difficulties or dangers if a person wanted to make it in the kitchen? -

"The cysteine hydrochloride from 30 g. of cystine was dissolved in 100 cc. of water; 22 cc. of commercial 40% formaldehyde (1.1 mole) was added, and the mixture allowed to stand overnight at room temperature. On the addition of 25 cc. of pyridine, crystals soon separated. The whole was diluted with 50 cc. of alcohol and filtered. The product (28.2 g.) was recrystallized from hot water. The resulting long, colorless needles, which melt with decomposition at 196-197 degrees, are insoluble in alcohol, somewhat soluble in cold water, readily soluble in hot water, in acid and in alkali."

Vincent, once the person obtains the acid, the procedure to follow is clearly delineated on pages 7 to 9 (left hand side pagination) of The Cure for Cancer?; refer to www.datadepo.com/cancercure/tac-cure.htm.

I wish to re-post, for everyone's benefit, my letter, 'To Dr. Varmus, Director, National Institutes of Health (NIH)', first posted November 7, 1999. In it these statements are made:

(By Dr. Mario Gosalvez, one of the Spanish researchers; the other is Dr. Antonio Brugarolas.)

".....However, reports of our later work given at scientific meetings or in the pipeline, confirm that thioproline does induce reverse transformation and that the whole concept, despite its complexities, is promising."

(By T.F. Slater)

".....Thioproline is the parent compound of an extensive series of substances already studied by various laboratories and for differing purposes. The non-enzymic reversible interaction of alpha, beta-unsaturated aldehydes with cysteine (and other thiol-containing substances) has been reported on extensively by Schauenstein and Esterbauer's group in Graz. The thiazolidine and furan derivatives produced by interaction of 4-hydroxy-alk-2-en-1-als with cysteine have been studied over many years for anti-tumour action on animal tumours, and some of the parent hydroxy-unsaturated aldehydes have also been tested on human cancer....."
