Hello everyone,
Since 1979, as far as Cancer is concerned,
things have not changed much.
In 1979 The Book of Lists #2
reported:
"10 Best Censored Stories of Recent
Years
Project Censored is a nationwide research project begun
at Sonoma State University in California in 1976. Significant news stories that
have been ignored by the mass media are located, evaluated, and submitted to a
panel of prominent judges, who rank them annually. The Sonoma State researchers
stress that the suppssion of these stories is not so much the result of a
'conspiracy' as the media's lack of perception, its drive for profits, its
common interest with big business, and a general desire not to rock the
boat.
Although cancer research has become a billion-dollar
industry, results have been minimal. Since psident Richard Nixon signed the
National Cancer Act in 1971, over $4 billion has been spent. Yet the U.S. still
has the highest cancer rate in the world - 50% above the world average - and the
chance for an American to survive cancer has increased only 1% since the late
1940s."
Thanks to Michelle Webster's recent posting - April 4,
'Financially Bloated American Cancer Society Fails to pvent Cancer', we are
afforded an update of the Sonoma State research (Cancer has fallen to #3. It is
now pceeded by '#1 Multinational Corporations Profit from International
Brutality' and '#2 Pharmaceutical Companies Put Profits Before
Need'.):
'#3 Financially Bloated American Cancer Society Fails to
pvent Cancer, Source: International Journal of Health Services, Volume 29, #3,
1999'
"The American Cancer Society (ACS) is growing increasingly
wealthy, thanks to donations from the public and funding from surgeons, drug
companies, and corporations that profit from cancer cures. More than half the
funds raised by the ACS go for overhead, salaries, and fringe benefits for its
executives and other employees, while most direct community services are handled
by unpaid volunteers. The value of cash reserves and real estate totals over $1
billion, yet only 16 percent of funds go into direct services for cancer
victims.
Conflicts of interest affect ACS's approach to cancer
pvention . With a philosophy that emphasizes faulty lifestyles rather than
environmental hazards, the ACS has refused to provide scientific testimony
needed for the regulation of occupational and environmental carcinogens. The
Board of Trustees includes corporate executives from pharmaceutical industries
with a vested interest in the manufacture of both environmental carcinogens and
anti-cancer drugs.

Returning to 1979 - Unfortunately the editors of The Book
of Lists #2 were not aware of the research of Antonio Brugarolas and Mario
Gosalvez.
In 1979 in Spain these physicians witnessed these results
after they had administered Thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid ('Thioproline') to 32
human beings during a medical clinical trial:
" Thioproline.....had a considerable antitumour effect in
epidermoid carcinoma of the head and neck. Definite signs of activity were
observed in epidermoid carcinoma of other regions and in other solid tumours,
such as breast, renal, ovary, thyroid, and parotid cancer."
".....Histological studies showed involution and
transformation into low-grade malignancies and disappearance of evidence of
cancer."
'The Lancet', one of the world's pmier medical journals,
reported the aforementioned sentences (January 12, 1980, pages 68 to
70).
This acid was the only chemical utilized during the course of
the Brugarolas/Gosalvez clinical trial; no other substances were
administered.
This acid has a degree of toxicity, as do all chemotherapeutic
agents.
Vitamin C affords phenomenal protection against the toxicity
of this acid; my research has demonstrated this fact.
This unique phenomenon of nature could enable physicians to
administer 'mega-doses' of the acid to cancer patients.
Since November, 1997, I have been imploring medical
authorities to conduct a clinical trial to determine whether cancer patients
would derive considerable benefit from swallowing 'mega-doses' of vitamin C and
Thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid ('Thioproline') and 'above average' amounts of
magnesium/zinc/manganese.
Thus far I have not received a definitive response from any
medical authority in the United States. However, I shall continue in my
quest.
